  • another one not buying any new uniform yet - he's due another growth spurt so much more sensible to wait and his "old" stuff fits fine.

Flying now over for the day - I'm cream crackered so off to my pit

    since HHC at teatime I've

    HHI
    completed two very boring surveys
helped DH with a computer thing or two
    made tea, and cleared up
rehomed some more stuff to its correct location, which is not in my office
    put dustbin out
read up on gas/electric prices - think I need to do a comparison tomorrow

    made a list for tomorrow

    night all

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

£1,500 needs blasting before Jan when the interest free ends. It's not going to happen but I'm hoping he can make a dint in it before then.

Any tips for crunching credit card debt grateful received!

Pigpen has done AMAZING things to her debt (mind you, her DS did set fire to the kitchen which helped out , but this would take you a while, as you don't have kids yet...). Flylady Flower has also managed to sort things out pretty spectacularly, but she's not about at the moment. Valli's pretty hot on credit cards... otherwise we're all more in the 'don't spend any money, use up everything in the house before you next set foot in a shop' kind of camp.

Have you managed to get your utility bills down yet?

Evening everyone, thank you for the comforting words with regards to lodgercat. I ended up taking him as an emergency to the vets. I turned up at the surgery in tears as I didn't know what else to do. The vet is pleased with him, how I don't know, but I suppose it is to do with him not losing any more weight since Monday when she last saw him. We have gone down another route with his medication, as his tablets are distressing him, he is now having strong steroids pumped into him. His first one was today, and possibly another one on Saturday morning. He does seem to be perking up a bit, he is wandering around the living room and definately seems brighter eyed. DH caught him scratching the carpet just now, didn't have the heart to tell him off as he was so pleased he was doing something other than sleeping or looking lethargic.

I shall be confining him to the kitchen tonight with a comfy bed, his water bowl, some biscuits and a small portion of cat food for him to eat during the night - hopefully!. At least that way I can also see how much food he has eaten during the night :)

Watched How Clean Is Your House on +1, ack it made me start scratching all over..ugh!! Good thing is that I was doing the ironing while watching and did more than intended, then I went and cleaned the kitchen again..lol.

My goodness I have done loads this week!!!! I am so chuffed with myself!!! My chauvanistic pig of a hubby (no offence pigpen!!) is off on a holiday with his father tomorrow without a thought to me and the kids and whats been going on. Like always head up ares and thinking of no-one but himself. Have told him to think about his effing priorities when he is away but probably what will happen is he will just enjoy himself and not care. I just have to carry on and try to pretend nothing is wrong or the kids will play up. Feel like he does not give a s*** about any of us. Sometimes it feels like everyone else is more important. Sometimes I think I would be better off on my own. I dunno whats going on, sometimes feel like the last 9 years have been a lie. I know he is depressed but its starting to drag me down and I've enough on my plate without getting ill.

Oh well I'd best be off to bed, got loads to do tomorrow. Seen as how half of what was promised hasn't happened, and have to work out how much we will have to live on once his effing train ticket has been paid for.

    Nite all xxx

does anyone else reduce their soap powder or mix it with anything else? I have eco balls but have got fed up with them and have been buying tablets as they dont take much room up and have been trying to be anally tidy with all the house viewings:rotfl:

thifty I use 1/3 cup of borax, a scoopful of Aldi's version of "Vanish", and a small scoopful of Ariel washing powder. Sometimes I add a scoopful of bicarb if I have really icky stuff. Added to that I use White Vinegar instead of fabric conditioner. :) I can honestly say that I have really noticed a difference in my washing, even my whites are lovely and sparkly. And since using this concoction DH really grotty hankerchiefs, that I had terrible troubles getting clean, wash up lovely.

Natty - so pleased to hear that the vet is happy with lodgercat's progress. You're obviously doing a very good job of looking after him.

Instant messaging set up... old schoolfriend contacted via FB to arrange to meet next week... bottle of wine mysteriously empty... must go and finish filling in the forms to return for the new job tomorrow!

We've ditched and switched, and are paying off Npower at £50 a month

My OH has finally confessed he doesn't know how to work the meter you kindly sent us.
I'm sorry it's taken so long to get round to it - he has managed to completely gut and renovate a house in that time - just not mine sadly.
    I'll post it back asap.

The credit card debt is all his from various times when his car has broken down - he's a self-employed taxi driver so he has loads coming out every month and is completely crap at budgeting.

I try my best but it's like dealing with sulky teenager at times. I used to be softly softly but now I open his mail, stick bills to the fridge with big circles round payment dates and generally get on his case.

  • Evening everyone
at the tail end again!!! been a bit sore today as the infection is active but got the antibiotics started so hopefully fingers crossed touch wood and anything else i can think of it will get rid of the infection properly!!!

went across the road this morning to visit my mate as he had his carpel tunnel done last week - so we put the world right over a coffee!
had the cleaner this afternoon and she did the best she could to the LR to make it look reasonable for my important visitors tomorrow and she did a quick whizz round the kitchen and bathroom too.
tonight I have had phone calls and been catching up here.
iriedaughter its so good to see you and i am delighted that you have been catching up on your sleep - I hope you have not been staying up late? You got some good bargains too and it sounds like you have a brilliant plan ahead - be sure to get the planning and any other advance work done - I dont want you burning the midnight oil again!!!
Kazw I know and I am trying but i just dont seem to be getting on here during the day just now so it takes me longer at night to do stars and catch up - but I am still gettimng to bed earlier than before.

me good luck to Ds with the application - hope he gets something he wants
