Aww, Taxi, sounds like you ended up having a really nice day with loving friends, instead of queuing for an overly-busy retail park - I call that a result! And wow to the critical illness cover - you've made me think the same as Seaxwyn is - I've never had it, and I've just hopped over to moneysupermarket.com to have a look at the quotes. Thinking of the practicalities of what needs to happen in such a situation ..... it sounds like something I really need to take out. You've made me think ......
Anyway, I hope your day today is as nice as yesterday.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hope the sun is reaching you it has returned for us :j intermittently
Yuck to busy retail parks people go mad over bank holiday weekends sure it will be better in the week.
Take care and relax

Morning all...I haven't been up long..the lazy mare that I am...lol
The sun is shining..the only thing planned for today is a bit of shopping but will go to Booths I think as it won't have the queues of shoppers like tesco etc etc....I may try internet shopping sometime...
I am so glad that some of you are giving serious consideration to critical illness cover and that some of you are also going for smears etc....
We all think about covering ourselves and family for if we die but pay little or no attention to what would happen if we are seriously ill....you cannot imagine the relief I felt to have this cover0 -
Good morning Taxi, hope you have a chilled out bank Holiday break with those who are important to you. Forecast is sunny and warm but not tropical like it was last weekend, so a bit of pottering about in the garden is a possibility. Am skiving on here instead of preparing for visitors, but they don't arrive till tonight so I have got a bit of time. One life - your life - live it!0

Morning pet;)
Glad to hear you have had a bit of a lazy morning ( I am still in pjs:().. you deserve it. Really pleased to hear about the critical illness insurance..must be a big relief.
Thankfully both myself & DH have critical illness cover which we took out when we started the mortgage. My mum had a heart attack at 45 followed a couple of years by Non-hodgkins Lympoma and numerous other illnesses over the years ( she is now 71:)) so I know how important it is... especially with my boys still being very little.
Pleased to hear you are having your hair done.... a lovely treat.
Enjoy your day.
Love & hugs

Have a good day Taxi. xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Afternoon all....hope you've all had a nice day.
I've been quite productive considering I've had a lazy morning.
DD1 popped in this morning for a brew so that was nice then I had a phonecall from DD2 inviting me to have breakfaxt with her at her work ..so popped down there for half an hour....
Then did the shopping
came home put that away
Phoned WWs to cancel mine and DSs monthly memberships ..they are refunding them both back to me..DS doesn't have the confidence to go himself with his bi polar.
phoned accountant and arranged to drop off accounts one morning this week.
Filled in the forms for critical illness
Done the last few days accounts
I've also sorted/filed/recycled/binned a load of paperwork.
I still have the ESA form to sort out but will do that later or tomorrow.
The DLA one doesn't need doing yet.
And that is about it.
DH has drilled the holes in the dustbins so that I can plant my potatoes on in there...may need some help with that as bending is hard.0
