    Youre welcome x

    The reason I've decided to share my journey in full with you all (warts and all) is that hopefully whatever hurdles,bridges etc I have to cross may not have to be suffered by others.
    A bit of planning can go a long way...and if I can make anyone elses journey easier ..god forbid ..if they were facing the same as me then I have achieved something.
    I am so grateful that you all care about me so much and take the time to read and answer....I have a long road ahead and at times it will be hard going and I will really need you guys....I'm a fighter and will beat this..

    I didn't know you could grow them from seed - I thought they were from tubers...... must investigate. I remember Gardener's World planting some in a bag in August ready for Christmas Dinner, it that the right time frame?

    Thanks for letting me know about doing the right thing with potatoes.

    I also only grow in containers..it's my first year .....as I only have a back yard.

    i appreciate your honesty taxi .. and your willingness to share

    i prefer growing in containers less slugs to worry about ... downside is though things need watered more ..

    if you really want to be adventurous you could always grow from tattie peelings ... as long as an eye is there then you should be in theory able to grow them .... not my personal choice due to disease etc but it can be done and is much cheapness

    One last thing re: the spuds - do they attract rats? I have a big phobia so if there was a chance, I'd have to leave it.

    My spuds didn't attract any rats - as far as I know!
    LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.
    (CC/LOAN = [STRIKE]36,378.98[/STRIKE] 35668.47. O/D = [STRIKE]1255.32[/STRIKE] 1212.35/[STRIKE]1999.78[/STRIKE] 1934.52, BUS = [STRIKE]9769.76[/STRIKE] 8714.98)
    Challenge = Debt at 31/01/12 = £25k. 2011 Payments = £1,944.19/£24,403.84

    There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!
