    Hey Taxi,

Just caught up on your posts. I'm glad to see that the payout will leave you unsecured debt-free, but naturally, it would be much nicer if you didn't need to use it. I think it's the silver lining thing again.

As for your OH, men are practical and it probably is that he feels that he is contributing most doing this, but like everyone else I think he will slow down once treatment starts.

You seem to have all the practicalities very sorted (big well done!) and here's to it long staying that way. xxx

Hey Taxi, just having a catch up. I agree with what you say about the NHS, when DS started having problems we didnt know what to expect and we have been so lucky to have had fab consultants, his problems do not effect his health as such but he has loads of specialists and can honestly say nothing bad about our PCT in his care.

I thought you might like to know that you have inspired me to go for a smear. At 26 and with 2 kids I have never had one and binned all the letters as soon as they come but no excuses, I'm going to book one! xxx

    Hi Hun

Good news on the Critical Illness :T:T- my friend also found they were "extremely efficient" in light of her situation ;)

DH, bless him, is obviousy trying to do the "man thing" ....but he WILL need his own support network in order to help support you. (I can;t emphasise how important this is for him to have an independent support....you probably understand this but he might not :o:o) Having his own contact at Macmillan may help ;)..or someone else.....

So glad you are feeling positive about this and are tackling "the beast" head on :T:T. (maybe we should refer to it as The [STRIKE]Breast[/STRIKE] Boobie Beast aka TBB?" ;)

Hugs Hun.....you WILL get through this....:grouphug:

There will be ups and downs..just remember that all us lovely peeps are here for you during the downs as well as the ups!! So no mattter how you feel, please keep posting ..BUT ONLY if it helps - and please don't fall into the trap of feeling you can only (or have to) post information to satisfy your "audience"....I do know that several of us DFW diarists have felt "that pressure" from time to time so please don;t worry - we will "go with your flow" so to speak :) .

Ooops - forgot to say that Bad Boy Beechie is sending you some loving piggie licks and snuggles tonight

Good to hear ladies. It is one of the cancers that can be treated successfully. If you ignore it - well, you just have to look poor at Jade Goody who did at her peril......it's so unnecessary.

Thanks everyone...I'm feeling quite fine....though have no energy.

I will be glad when I know when each appointment/scan is as I have loads of invites that I can't take up until I know when these are!!!

I didn't end up going to Matalan and K shoes as the queues to get on the car park were horrendous and I was cold and couldn't be assed...so went to my friends house instead and had a couple of brews and her DD is going to cut and colour my hair...bless her xx

Popped to DS3 house earlier for a brew and a natter.

Jsut watched tv the rest of the evening.

Sounds like an excellent "no stress" (and MSE) day :T:T...glad you gave "queueing for the car park" a miss ;)..it's one of my pet hates

(Wol scuttles off before "car park rant mode" appears ;):o:cool:)
