I'm feeling not too bad at all Penguin....thanks for asking.
  • Hi Taxi (and friends!),
Great news about the insurance and am glad you've had a good day - hmm, quite fancy a girly day myself. I live in a houseful of men (well OH and 2 teenage sons and their mates) and it's great fun but time to email old workmates I think...

Those positive thoughts and deeds are just the things you should be doing Taxi - new clothes and hair and little things but those little things are the things that get you through the big things in life - just like you're facing now.

I'm glad the insurance is paying out without any hassle. As others have said take advantage of the offers of help. A friend brought me lunch round every day for several weeks when I came out of hospital - I'd initially said 'no' as I wasn't up to eating much at the time and didn't want to be a bother - she'd persuaded me to let her. It wasn't a big task - but it made her feel useful and my dh didn't worry as he had to go to work and leave me alone - I have never forgotten her kindness and in a funny way that simple task brought us so much closer. It really is the small things that makes a difference in life.

I was at your neck of the woods last weekend in the sunshine - I'm still recovering from my walk in the heat - we walked from the Windmill at St Annes to pier at Lytham (or is it the other way round can never remember!!) and back - then walked along the sea front at Bispham and sat and ate fish and chips watching the sea - so I have been to bed early every night since. I think of you now every time I go to Blackpool (don't often go to centre of Blackers but visit either end often)

Positive thoughts heading your way. I'm going to Cornwall on Sunday for 2 weeks so won't be able to post or catch up - but you will be in my thoughts. I'll catch up when I get back.

Take each minute as it comes - there is no right or wrong way to feel - it won't feel like it now but this can be beaten. Big hugs

Thanks Milann...have a great holiday as well xxx Going to book one myself as soon as I'm over this..

I am terrible at accepting help but will need to learn to accept it as I know it's going to be hard.

Next time you're over this way let me know and we can go for a coffee or something if you like...if not no bother.

That goes for anyone over this way at anytime.

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

It's a good job that we only have the one car(taxi) as I would be all over the country otherwise...lol

Hope you don't mind me butting in Taxi, but when OH's Dad was diagnosed there was a nurse/social worker who helped with all the form filling for benifit's, is there possibly someone like that, that your nurse can put you in touch with?
