Morning Taxi,
So pleased to hear you ARE going to make an appointment at the hairdressers :T Your treatment does not start for a few weeks and you have got be happy with yourself in the here and now ... so go for it , girl;)
As far as the diet goes , I would say to put it on hold . Just eat healthily, you can make some lovely salads etc at this time of year ( think luxury ingredients;)) . And give yourself a cake or chocolate as a treat once a day.:D
Its good to see you are keeping busy as usual but don't overdue it
I hope you have a lovely weekend. Be good to yourself.

:hello: Hiya! Taxi won't mind the thread-crash, we all go back and forth :kisses3:
I don't get in to town much, with working from home, so its nice when mystery shopping pays the bus fare and I have to go anyway for food shopping and whatnot. The rest of the BH is good too - I'm off to my sister's on Saturday, and out with a friend on Sunday, her birthday is Mon, when she's off to see her daughter in London. Monday, I should think I'll be collapsing- now my patio chairs are clean, I can sit out again
:D:D
:rotfl:Had the Jif (Cif) out, have you?!
Sounds like a good weekend. And I'm glad you are having a 'normal' one as well Taxi: I'll fall over when I eventually get to have 'normal' weekends as well: it wil be sooooo strange! Please call me 'Pickle'

You may regret the offer of a day out as I may take you up on it..LOL...
Was thinking of getting my hair done as it needs doing but then the MSE side of me says that's a waste of money incase I have chemo and end up with no hair...in which case I'll have a wig..lol...
Can you tell I have too much time on my hands?
Definitely get your hair done and the new clothes.
I am serious about the day out would love to do it you set the date and I will be there. Send me a pm
Hugs and love

Thanks everyone...
Benbenandme..what a great idea..thanks x
My BCN phoned earlier and the DR has agreed to the bone scan, liver scan and chest x ray due to the pain I've been suffering and to put my mind at ease....this will not affect my operation..so that's good news.
Whilst she was on the phone I asked her if she could let my consultant know that some paper work would be arriving regarding my critical illness cover and she said she would let his secretary know so that he didn't miss it.....I also explained to her that I could only tell the insurance what I knew and that I'm covered for cancer but not if it's DCIS(ductal carcinoma in situ) and I didn't understand whether mine was that or not...she explained mine isn't DCIS as that is pre cancerous cells basically and mine is definitely already cancer.....this means that I'm totally covered for that and will get a payout.
The papers came this morning from the insurance for DH and I to sign and to fill in the bank account details for payment...I will sign them over the weekend....the insurance people seem very efficient....it will be a huge relief when that pays out as well.
A form to claim DLA also arrived today...that will definitely wait....
DD1 and DD2 have just taken me out for tea..I didn't want to go but am glad I did as I enjoyed it and it was nice girly time.0 -
Might be just a tad too early for DLA.

Hello Taxi, just wanted to say how sorry I was to hear your news. I think you have had plenty of excellent advice from previous posters, I have nothing to add but 3 things....1) Go with the flow, que sera sera and all that 2) Your Macmillan nurse will be the best friend you ever had through all this, trust him/her and 3) as others have said, avoid internet sites. This is one time when the University of Google is not the right place to learn!
Sending positive vibes your way, always. One life - your life - live it!0
