Dont get me started on the cost of diesel ................... But when you really need your treat, do it anyway - the extra £x in diesel is nothing compared to your peace of mind.
It does get easier once the treatment starts, it kind of gets a momentum all of its own and you just get on with it and stop worrying so much.
Thanks for the good wishes, I feel blessed to have come out the other side XX LiloLive on £4000 a year again for 20110 -
And long may you remain that way.0

Morning all....can tell it's bank holiday this weekend as it's like winter again..lol
Have checked banks this morning and transferred money about etc....so have just paid £157 off BMI card ...that's now under £1k ...I wanted rid of that this month but don't think that will happen.
Have just got a few little jobs to do today...usual boring ones...but still need doing..lol
DH has gone to work so I have no car until later
If it doesn't rain too heavy....I'll walk to the bank as I need to put the takings in....
I'll do a bit of housework,washing etc.
This afternoon I need to fill the car and get it washed and maybe nip to the shops for bits...I'll have a look at what we need.
Hope you all have a good day x
Forgot I need to update the accounts as well and must arrange to drop the accounts to the accountant so they are out of the way.0 -
You sound like a busy woman and very much business as usual, just remember that you need to look after yourself and try to take it reasonably easy!! You need to build up some energy reserves!

Morning Taxi
You are up and about early today hope you managed to get some sleep and not feeling too tired.
You mentioned going back to WW I think I would put it on hold if I was you if you want a treat you should have it and if you have chemo you will need to eat when and what you feel like not worry about the diet. My sister is overweight and she didnt diet whilst being on treatment but has now started to and has lost 2 stone.
With the amount of weight you have to lose I really recommend the diet that I talked to you about it does work but you have to be 100% committed to it for what is really quite a short time - but the time for that is not now so be kind to yourself and deal with the weight later.
Hugs to you - if you fancy a day out let me know and I will be there

I'm always up and about early...lol....I slept really well last night..thanks...
Regarding WWs ..I think I may just need to eat as healthy as possible and losing a bit of weight may help with recovery...but on the other hand it may be too much pressure....deciscions deciscions..lol
I really need to sort my weight for definite when this is over as this is a serious wake up call.
You may regret the offer of a day out as I may take you up on it..LOL...
Don't worry RMC...I am taking it easy...I'm bored already....DH won't let me work..bless him.....I need to think of things to do that don't cost money or are very cheap...
Was thinking of getting my hair done as it needs doing but then the MSE side of me says that's a waste of money incase I have chemo and end up with no hair...in which case I'll have a wig..lol...
Can you tell I have too much time on my hands?0 -
lilo - glad things are working well for you and long may they stay that way x
taxi, re the diet - forget "diet" and just enjoy healthy eating with a little bit of what you fancy along the way. Remember, that as your treatment progresses, you will have days when you don't feel like eating, when you are sick from the chemo, or when you are just "nil by mouth" while you wait to have an op.....so there will probably be a fair bit of weight loss along the way.
The only benefit of doing something like WW right now is the "control" element - and that is what I did after OH left.....I felt I couldn't control what was happening around me, yet I could control what I ate and WW allowed me to do that in a healthy way, rather than control what I ate by starving, binging and purging. but for goodness sake, don't feel you have to "diet" right now!
right now, what is important, is that you do what feels right and comfortable for you - that may change day by day, or even hour by hour, and that is absolutely fine! But the main thing is to enjoy your food, keep yourself strong, and get plenty of vitamins along the way!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Well that is the most extreme MSE I have ever heard.
You could look at it this way - while you have this hair you may as well have lovely hair!! Go on be a rebel - get your hair done!LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

You are right of course and especially about the control element...if I was doing WW it would be the only thing at the moment that I would have control over.
Think the best idea is to just go with the flow ....0 -

I live in Manchester. I'd take you out!...I am taking it easy...I'm bored already....DH won't let me work..bless him.....I need to think of things to do that don't cost money or are very cheap...
If you are very, very bored, maybe you could do some batch cooking for when you and OH might not feel like it? Soup would be particularly good for days when you don't feel like eating anything heavy. And it's MSE!Was thinking of getting my hair done as it needs doing but then the MSE side of me says that's a waste of money incase I have chemo and end up with no hair...in which case I'll have a wig..lol...
Taxi, you're irrepressible! :rotfl:I went to my local college yesterday and got a cut and blow for £8. My hair was desperate and looks very good now. And sod it, you deserve a treat: go get your hair done, even if it's only at your local college. Please call me 'Pickle'
