  • Hello, Mrs R here

Just finally found time to read your diary - well, not in it's entirety, tbh, but enough to give me a feel of where you're at. Am deeply envious of your single status. Well, love my family really, but am quite a solitary being in nature and find it a bit of a struggle being part of this manic household at times.

Anything coming of your writing? Meant to say on own diary update, so better pop over there now, that yesterday pitched a column to my local rag. Not heard yet but got a read recipt so know they've read it, so not rejected me entirely (yet?)

    Anyway, gotta fly

just lost yet another post. I'm hitting something on my keyboard on quick reply which causes the page to refresh, but I haven't worked out what it is! Damned annoying really!

Thanks for the cheering words guys, unfortunately I am still in pretty much the same mood, and now have to reduce my 'earnings' by about £8 to refund the guy whose CD has got lost in the post. Hopefully will get somethign out of Royal Mail eventually. Gah, why couldn't it have been a £2 CD that got lost in the post?! Sales have really slowed, doesn't surprise me, the quality of what I've been listing is pretty rubbish now (hence why I want it gone!).

Got rejected from the grad scheme I applied for today - all because of the stupid online test which I did miserably at, I just can't do them! Doesn't matter how much I practice, I just can't do the maths bit. I'm ok when they use IQ type ones, I actually score highly on IQ tests, but can't do psychometric tests. I think this means I've been rejected from pretty much every grad scheme going on this basis alone! Am feeling very disillusioned about finding a well paying job ever, as you can tell! If I enjoyed my work I wouldn't care that much, but I don't, I hate it. Agency lady came to see me today and I explained the situaiton, and she said she would try and get me moved to a different post, so we'll see. I don't mind admin if it's interesting admin and there is a bit of direction, but this has neither.

Hi Mrs R! Yes, I mostly love my single status! I love living alone and being able to do my own thing. However, currently I wish I had someone to cuddle, to deal with the spiders, and to do the washing up. And cook me a nice meal. Not heard back on the writing yet, not surprised, he took so long to respond to me in the first place! I'll be sad if I don't hear at all though, as it's something I would love to do!

Right, I'm going to cuddle up under the throw and watch something nice and cheery. Or wallow, one of the two!

Sorry about the grad scheme, horid to be rejected by technology  when you've so much to offer!

Enjoy a wallow - then pick yourself up and onwards you go :D

howdy doody, have been quiet for a few days, sorry! Didn't want to bring the mood down lol.

Have sold a few things over the weekend, probably about £10 total. However, I got £6 on the scratches today! I normally only ever get 10p on the Littlewoods one, but today I got £5! woo! And then on Virgin I got another £1. I don't think I'll be able to cash out from Littlewoods until October hits (unless I get more than 10ps anyway!), but should be able to get some more out of Virgin soon. Even though I'm not going to make my aim, I'm looking forward to seeing what my total is on the 30th!

In other news, that guy's CD turned up... the day after I did the refund. He was honest and told me, now I'm waiting to see if he'll be honest enough to pay for it.

Right, better get myself to work, see if there is any news job-wise. Ooh, have also applied for a job very close to home, so will see if anything happens there.

Morning! I will respond to your PM when I get home from work - I've not forgotten!

It is always a nice feeling when you get one of the £5 scratches, especially on a Monday morning! One week I got 2 x £5 - I was almost dancing around my laptop that week :rotfl:

lol, it's such a small amount of money really, but is so much more than 10p, it's ace!! and thanks re PM, will wait with baited wotsits ;-)

well, job very close to home, the guy doesn't even want to interview me, because I'm not currently a PA, despite the fact he isn't really asking for a PA, and despite the fact I can do everything he wants! He sounds like a bit of an idiot, so perhaps its just as well I don't interview for them as I wouldn't want to work for an idiot! the job I've gone for internally, I'm pretty sure I saw someone else being interviewed for it today. Gah. I'm giving the agency til Wednesday, if I haven't heard from them by then I shall be ringing them. Again.

Have sold something else on Amazon today, yay! Am spending the evening catching up with CSI...
  • Ohh good luck for finding a better job *fingers crossed*.

I am looking for some bargain books to buy if you want to point me in the direction of where you're selling them? What kind of genres do you sell?

I just had a massive spider in my room. Like 2 or 3 inches across, with big thick legs. So I called my Dad to get it and put it outside and HE DROPPED IT
It's gone in a box of car boot sale things and there is noooooo way I am rummaging around in that for the big hairy spider to crawl out and get me.

So now I have a big horrible spider somewhere in my room _pale_ I keep itching, thinking it is crawling on me *shudder*

oh noes! I woke up at 4am because I thought I had a spider on me, and I didn't, it was my own hair... oh dear!

I've got one loose in this room, but hopefully it will leave me alone. There's probably more than one, probably loads in fact, given the amount I have to get rid of on a daily basis!

I'm watching ghost whisperer, and it's totally freaking me out - methinks I should have found something less scary to watch right before bed!

I sell my books on Amazon, the others I'm thinking about green metropolis or ebay, but they'll have to wait until I've got the rest of the CDs listed - if I list in too many places I get a little bit disorganised, and don't want to upset buyers!
  • I thoroughly recommend GM - I've sold two books a day for the last couple of days - hoping it continues!
