Was paying £33 for
TV L,
BB M (though the lady at the call centre said i really had the 10MB `L' one - not sure if that's true or not, have never noticed any difference in service speed deom 2MB) and
Phone (my bill didn't say whether I had free eve or weekend calls).
Now pay £24 for:
TV M
BB L (should definitely be entitled to 10MB now)
Phone M (free eve calls).
Ok, have downgraded on the TV, but losing channels I don't watch anyway and saving £9 a month. Also, not tied to any 12-month contract or otherwise.
Admittedly not as good as the £21 deal someone posted up earlier (BB L, TV M & Phone eve & weekends).
Sales person should have offered me more to keep me spending the original amount. Will ask for the BB L, Phone L, TV Xl & V+ for £31.50 next time. TalkTalk deal looks very competitive if you're happy to keep freeview for TV.0 -
What are people getting for
Basic B-Band & Virgin telephone line?
I don't need the speed on the BB, I used to have 2Mb but they started charging me more but I never bothered to upgrade the modem, on my last speed test I was getting 3.3 Mb dunno how it has increased from 2Mb without me upgrading modem.???
I'm hoping to complain that I agreed a 12 month contract @ 15.50 / mth and they ended charging me 18.50 mth, so hoping to get some credit back from them especially as I have never upgraded the modem.
I don't need TV.
Sky are offering BB telephone & TV for £18.50 mth surely this means Virgin will have to come close to that deal, and if you take out the TV I should be offered about £15 mth for BB & phone.
If they start harping on about their 10Mb BB, I'll tell them it doesn't bother me, 2Mb is all I need, and I'll go to whoever can give it to me cheapest.
Advice anyone? What deals have people had for BB/phone only?0 -
I have been offered L BB/ M TV and basic phone for £25 PM. I have been a Virgin customer for years and it seems to me that new customers get a better deal.
I have Talk Talk BB and phone costing £23 per month and Virgin TV analogue and phone, costing me £19 per month.
Now I've retired, I now don't need two phone lines. I'm thinking of getting rid of TT and having BB with Virgin.
Is £25 a reasonable deal?

Hi, looking to change from virgin mobile as find call costs rather high, been on the phone they have offered unlimited calls 24/7, broadband and 25% on mobiles for £15 a month, plus my £11.25 bt line rental, so £26.25 a month, what you guys reckon???0

My XL/V+ contract is up in 2 months - I'm currently paying £37.45 for L BB, XL TV/V+, M phone with Talk Evenings. I asked to go down to M on all products and back to a standard V Box (as I've bought my own V+ off eBay). For me doing so, they've offered me the massive saving of... £3 a month :rotfl: I've told them to shove it up their a_rse.0

I'm currently getting:
TV: M
Broadband: L
And line rental with free evening and weekend (I think) calls.
For £23.49.
Think my initial 12 months contract is up, so is it worth trying to barter this down? What might I be offered?
We don't actually use the phone line at all (there's no phone plugged in!) but we had to take it to get a good discount, might we be able to cancel it now and still get the rest cheap?
Thanks

Hi All,
I've been with VM for years - for BB only, but recently my trusty HardDisk recorder has recently bought the farm, so I though it time to get a V+ box. I phoned and said I was going to go with Sky and they offered me:
BB: L (10Mb)
TV: M+ (Sky 1 and some others I think)
Phone: M (Eve and W/end Free)
Free HD V+ box and £25 credit off my first bill - total monthly charge £35.50 (for 12 month contract)
Does that look reasonable? It seemed pretty good coz I had to really hassle the poor fella for the first month's credit
Thoughts?
Thank you all,

Phoned them up this morning. Got my £28 phone line + 10meg BB reduced to £21. Said I was gonna go with the £18pm Talktalk deal.
Can't argue with that one.0 -
Have 2 lines as one is for phone and one for dial up computer link. I can't get broadband on this old computer.
Why can't you get broadband on the computer? It might be old, but as long as you have an ethernet port on it or buy one for it (about £3.50) there's no reason why it won't work, if it's working for dial up.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
