Virgin Media: Haggle down your costs.

Considering this thread has been going since 2006, it's amazing that you can still use the same tricks!!
I mentioned the talktalk deal, said it was about the price and otherwise I would have been happy to stay with Virgin.
After a bit of stalling the rep gave me the following deal:
Med Phone (Free weekends)
10Mb Broadband
Their "iPlayer" service
for £20.95 a month! which is £10 cheaper than what we're currently paying. The big thing for me is we now have a great broadband speed (we watch alot of internet TV and use the iTunes store).
In regards to only having weekend calls, we also both have mobiles with free landline deals to our most called and free intranetwork calls, and 300 x-net calls which suits us fine. On the weekend we do call other numbers so it's still useful to have (This mobile contract is only £18/month for BOTH of us, but that's another story!).0 -

I have just moved house and will be a brand new customer to Virgin. I would like to take out the tv, phone and broadband and preferrably with the +box.
Other than the standard prices on the virgin website, are there any deals/offers for new customers?
Thanks0 -
Currently im paying about £40 a month for 2mb broadband, Large TV and free weekends phone package.
Can I negotiate anything when i dont want to leave them or change anything else?0 -

1st stage is look what sky offer, then look what new customers on VM get
that will give you an idea if where you are on pricing0 -
Actually forgot to add the second part of my query - doh!
I really want a v+ plus box, are there any deals to be had by calling them or is what it says o the net the only offer. Was hoping for an upfront cost and no monthly charge or a monthly charge and no upfront cost!!0 -
