she made me feel better by telling me the offer was ending soon so we would all pay £99

Got my e-bill today. Just noticed their M broadband has gone up by £2 (two months ago), so I'm now paying £18 for M broadband and M phone.

*sigh* My deal is starting to get uncompetitive. I'll see how the price compares after the speed upgrade and then haggle (not that I'm any good at it anyway).
  • I just called Virgin to say I wanted to move to Sky as I was finding Virgin too expensive, I thought they would offer me a deal but instead the lady just said "ok", so all my services are being puuled in 30 days time.

Now I feelREally stupid and don't know what to do, any ideas.

    Thanks

Don't worry just yet - I bet they will call you back in a few days offering you a better deal.

I noticed an increase in my monthly bill too and thought the same, its not that competative anymore. I will have to get my finger out and start working on either getting a better deal with them or moving to different company.

Do you think sky for all 3 is a reasonable deal compared to virgin media? I already have sky freesat but thought about changing to skyplus bb and phone with them if they offer better
    Thanx

Sorry can't help. Aside from the fact I haven't begun to look at competitor prices, I know my property doesn't have a BT line installed ... even more to pay for me *oh joy*.

I had the same thing was riginally on
    M tel (evenings and weekend)
XL TV with setanta (Is this now inclusive?)
    L BB (10mb)

for a total of £35 charges all in.

However noticed that 2 months ago they had their price increase and my bill showed a £1 increase in my XL TV and £3.75 reduction in my discount??

Having called up as come to end of contract was able to get a V+ box for £30 installation. Not the best deal (was wanting for free) but will do me till next year lol

    Current deal
XL TV (With Setanta if not the norm) with V+ box
    L (10mb) BB
    Tel Evenings and weekends
Total charge £37.93 after VAT and paperless billing discount

PS With regards to haggling the only tip I could give is just be friendly and calm. Its suprising the difference that this makes ;)

I think there is an offer going on with BT rt now (I think until the end of June). If you phone 0800 800 150 and quote "New line free connection offer", they will do the installation for free. They will take atleast 15 days to install it though.

    Hello

    Just a quick question.

I have cancelled VM media on Thursday 18th June, so will be cancelled 18th July.

I cancelled for various reasons including getting my bill wrong by overcharging me £10, then telling me that they can't put me on the cheap deal that they had promised etc. etc.

I am ready to order a bt line this week if they don't contact me and offer a better deal.

The question is can I go through with the cancellation and then re order a couple of days later as a new customer? The deal I want is £21.95 for new customers as opposed to the £27 that they offered me + my mum is a Virgin customer so she can recommend me and we both get £30 off our bill.

Just wanted to know if I could do this, or don't they allow it for customers who have recently left?

    Thanks. Any advice appreciated.
