  • Always makes me giggle when other half does the massaging just seems strange him being down there for anything other than nuptuals especially as he insists on pointing out how everything is changing.

Are we really changing down there already?! DH hasn't said anything. I don't think he likes doing it much

No idea about tingling belly buttons I'm afraid!

Lou - I'm not sure what I'd do! Do you know her well? I think he should be able to talk to her about it though. I know if I was doing something like that my OH would be quick to discuss it with me.

I've been reading up on home births and am going to tell MW at my next app (2 weeks time) that I want to have a HB!! OH likes the idea too :)

Sarah jo and xmas lolly thats what i said to him last night, they are both qute young and dont live togther she lives with her mum who is also a drinker she's due in november. She is also smoking, just dont know want to say to him about the dangers etc, he was so upset last night. So i dont want to scare him anymore than he is but want to help him as well.

  • Back again....
We went and saw OH`s friend early and I'm now the proud owner of a beautifull white frilly moses basket on a rocker base. I completely love it and according to OH`s friend their little one was only in it maybe 3 times so it is practically new and some of the blankets etc with it are still sealed, not bad for £10!!!! I didnt want to spend much on one because I know they arent in them for long.
Also my random question for the day is what did you guys get in your emma's diary packs? and the bounty ones?
p.s the belly button thing is kinda of worrying me but I did watch the Matrix last night so maybe thats it lol Have you taken any red or blue pills lately??? lol

Looked a fundal height chart thingie and was measuring 36cm at 35 wks - 36cm is equivalent to 40 wks!!!!! Anyone else had similar measurements? MW hasn't said anything though so am a bit confused.

Had some strong period pains last night, which got Dh worried but nothing else happened :o

Am a bit confused too lol I understood it too be weeks should roughly equal centimetres. Anything + or - 3cm in relation to weeks needs investigated.eg 39cm at 36wks or 33cm at 36wks would prob mean a growth scan. 36cm at 35wks is spot on, don't know where the 40wks has come from??
Midwifes are divided on the point of measurements and I'm sure I remember reading its an outdated practice and the UK is one of the few countries that still use it. I was 33cm at 34wk appointment last week:D
  • Congratulations Nickynoo- lovely to see you on here. No advice on the MS I'm afraid, as I was one of the lucky ones. I did find that eating little and often helped with nausea though, and I still try and make sure I have a cereal bar in my handbag at all times so if I feel icky I can have something to eat at any time.
Morning all. Speaking of dreams, my dreams are so weird every night. Does this continue the whole way through? Some days I wake up quite upset if it's been particularly weird or like last night, that my whole family had pretty much turned against me!

I have decided to stop being so unhealthy. I'm normally so good but the last few weeks I've been terrible. Today I've brought a smoked mackerel fillet, a big salad and 2 slices of wholemeal bread for my lunch, but also brought a banana, apple and some grapes with me and some dried fruit. Had V8 juice for breakfast and just had a chocolate milkshake too (for the extra calcium!) and even that is low in fat and doesn't contain any sweeteners or anything. Go me!! lol!

Good on you for being healthy. I've not been too bad so far this pregnancy and I think I've been fortunate that I've craved relatively healthy foods rather than sweets and chocolate. I'm loving fruit at the moment- there are so many lovely strawberries, raspberries, cherries etc about. I went through a phase of having a soya, chocolate and banana shake every morning before I was pg, but I've gone right off soya milk so haven't had that for a while. Might try it with normal milk though- I quite fancy a banana milkshake now!

That is really worrying Lou. I think you do need to make sure that her OH knows how serious drinking and smoking are, but in a way that doesn't freak him out too much. I'm sure her midwife would be able to offer some help if he can get her to go and see her.

Well mixed news at the Dr for me. BP is lower than last week, which is ace. Unfortunately I still had protein in my urine and I have another UTI! Only finished my antibiotics for my last one last week, and it had definitely gone as my wee was tested last week too. I don't feel particularly ill, although I have had some cramps which I had last time too. Best get down to Boots to pick up my anti-biotics. Unfortunately my hips are agaony today so I might see if I can get OH to go for me.
