My MW is so laid back I'm not sure she would notice! Am in and out each time in 5 mins. I've now plotted my measurements on the chart thingie in my notes and I am right on the edge of the zone where further tests may be necessary. Given am planning a HB the thought of an extra large cub is a bit alarming!! Will see if I can speak to a MW later today - not gettingtoo worried now but would like to know that someone has noticed and can give me some advice!MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

Woohoo glam is due the same day as me now wish i knew exactly when bubs was coming out would make life a whole lot easier. My DS keeps asking if bubs will be here today how do you explain to a 7yr old that they come when they feel like it lol :-)xx:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Mountain i think they only get worried if there is a sudden spike in growth if bubs has been growing steadily with no change in pattern and your liquour levels are normal i shouldnt worry. Mine has plotted along the highest percentile line all the way through. I know how you feel though the water should help fingers crossed and with us being at home we will so much more relaxed as well. it may well still be an eye watering experience. It will be interesting to see if we both have similar birth weights :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

xmas - I hope you're right! Mine's supposed to be a girl too so wasn't expecting a whopper (DH and I were both small-normal sized, well, at birth anyway, it didn't last!!) It's definitely steady growth, though the last measurement was above the curve by a small amount. Not sure about liquor, as I said, MW is v casual!
Will get DH on extra perineal massage duty!!MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

You liquor levels would have been checked at your scans i dont think the midwife has any way of checking those. From what i have read large amounts of water can indicate there is a problem and this would in turn make your fundel height expand rapidly which is why they now measure you on a regular basis.
Always makes me giggle when other half does the massaging just seems strange him being down there for anything other than nuptuals especially as he insists on pointing out how everything is changing.
I'm after a nice little keepsake for my daughter off the bubs was thinking a small ring. She has been such a super star and looking after me really well, even to the point of giving up herbedroom for a short while so the birth pool can be used and i just want to show her how much i appreciate it. Any ideas she is 11 and although quite tom boyish in her manerisms she still very girly at heart i have a £30 budget and she doesnt like yellow gold apparently its naff lol ;-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Morning all. Speaking of dreams, my dreams are so weird every night. Does this continue the whole way through? Some days I wake up quite upset if it's been particularly weird or like last night, that my whole family had pretty much turned against me!
I have decided to stop being so unhealthy. I'm normally so good but the last few weeks I've been terrible. Today I've brought a smoked mackerel fillet, a big salad and 2 slices of wholemeal bread for my lunch, but also brought a banana, apple and some grapes with me and some dried fruit. Had V8 juice for breakfast and just had a chocolate milkshake too (for the extra calcium!) and even that is low in fat and doesn't contain any sweeteners or anything. Go me!! lol!0 -
Hiya everyone, room for another?
I've been browsin through this thread since i got my bfp 3weeks ago and finally dedecided to take the plunge and join. I think i'm 7-8weeks but as i've not had a period since end of Jan i cant be too sure, i've got my booking in apt with mw in 2weeks so i'll hopefully be able to get in for a dating scan in around 4 or 5 weeks time. God that seems forever away.
How does everyone cope with morning sickness? I didnt suffer at all with my first but this time round it really bad, cant keep much down and have started loosing, not much but its still noticable. I've recently started wearing sea bands but they dont seem to be doing a great deal anymore. Saying that i'm feeling ok today so far, dont wanna jinx myself:rolleyes:£387.39/£196.46

32B and Helen- I am so sorry you have both had so much trouble with the NHS, it just goes to show the appalling state that some practices are in at the moment.
I think (correct me if I'm wrong) but a GP surg has to reserve a certain no of appts every day for emergencies, and as receptionists are not medically qualified it is not their call to decide if it is urgent or not. My GP used to be the saem, with appts being made over a week in advance if u were ill which was worse then useless! Howevr can't fault them since last year when i became a regular visitor with heart murmur and asthma, and now mini-me in development.
I would complain, and copy it to the Chief Exec of the governing PCT (Primary Care Trust) as this should ensure that these things are at least highlighted as its simply not good enough.
OK Rant over, heard babies heartbeat yesterday, was great, and found out I am resus b neg too so few more needles for me, which was not so great.
Hope everyone else is OK
