:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: I'm going to flip.Just called to speak to the mid-wife and after waiting all day to get her i have just found out that they are only in the surgery for 2 weeks, they are changing to comunity care from another center and i need to call for a doctor tomorrow morning. Can't stop crying even when i am saying i don't feel right she was all i will try but they have people waiting. you should get contacted once they move the care to the new center so still 2 weeks. told her about yesterday and she's all well i can't do anything about yesterday you should have been told.
So she eventually decided that she will give my details to midwife i may get a call today if not i will need to call tomorrow.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

Oh I just saw this in The Arms and was checking to see if you all knew!
If Tigs calls in here, please tell her she's welcome to contact me if I can help in any wayI don't think she knows me too well as I was almost gone before she joined so she might not feel like it, but I'm happy to chat regardless!
Big congrats to Tigs and welcome to Andrew Marley0 -
Congrats to tigster - lots of grow baby grow vibes to baby tigster:j They were wondering on the other thread if this is the first mse baby - i wonder. Anyway big hugs and congratulations.
Congratulataions to everyone else that has had a baby and to glam for getting her section date and to nickki for getting the section she wants:T
I was musing the other day that we should have a note at the start of this thread - "this is for all preggy ladies regardless of how the baby was concieved, regardless of how easy or hard they find the pregnancy, regaradless their approach to pregnancy and birth and regardless of thier choices / medical reaquirements at birth. Please bear in mind the thaughts and feelings of others prior to posting"
I know i always try to word what i post carefully - and am not aiming this at anyone either so big hugs all round.
I know this no where near equates to some of the difficulties of pregnancy but i can't get over the fact that I am having a very low day todaywe had a horrible chaotic / busy experience at the new antenatal unit yesterday. We only went for a 20 week scan and were there for over 5 hours. The lady called us in for the scan and managed to do all the checks required apart from the sex (which of course we dont mind) and she just kept tutting at the heart pics and saying i cant find an outflow tract. Now rather than booking us in for a re scan pretty soon or even suggesting we go for a private scan she just said we will see you on sept 4th for a re scan
We did see a midwife afterwards (hence the long wait) but she just said have you been booked in for another scan? no explanation , no reassurance. I only got to see the baby via photos afterwards. I was never expecting pregnancy to be without worry but so far we have had bleeding / or bed rest casued by it from the start to about week 10 on and off with the stress of a epu visit, then the stress of the 12 week scan (which i know everyone gets) then being told i am rhesus negative and a 4 week wait to confirm an anti d injection is booked (yesterday) and now this. So then i get a scan at 22 weeks, then a midwife appt at 25 then anti d injection, consultant appt and gtt at 28 weeks then a anesthestist appt at 34 weeks - part of me wonders why cant they just leave us alone and give this baby a chance to grow before determining its possible problembs

Finally made it on here for a few mins. Got a week left a work and feel knackered.
I think that's quite shocking, jha. Talk about leaving you up the creek, do you ask the scanner what she meant. I wish they wouldn't talk to you like you had a degree in anatomy. I'm sure it can't be that worrying or they wouldn't make you wait so long. Is baby moving ok?
I went for a consultant appointment on Tuesday who managed to tell me from feeling my bump and measuring it that is I went to term the baby would be 8.7/9lbs! I've got 5 1/2 weeks to go.
Re using bio oil. I've been using mamma mio? stretch mark oil since 5 1/2 months and I haven't had one appear yet. Here's hoping.
Is anyone thinking of having a waterbirth/had one? Very stupid question coming, do you get in the pool totally naked and do I need to pack a towel in the overnight bag?

PROBABLY GIVEN BIRTH BUT TOO WORN OUT TO LOG ON LIST
allow 2 weeks after EDD before transferring to this list...0 -
I did try to ask and she kept contradicting herself : like "the resoultion is not very good", "your baby is too small", "your baby is fine - a good size", "we need to give it time to grow"????? I can feel it kicking and hear its heartbeat on the doppler (thank godness i rented one) so i know it is alive and i am growing so i am sure it is too - i just found yesterday and care we have had so far pretty rubbish overall. If it wasnt for one of the midwifes at the hosp who remembers me everytime i go and takes a moment to sit with me to "chat" off the record type of thing in the waiting room i dont know where i would be - now she is a star.0
