Mid wife is just off the phone they will not see me until i have been booked in. She said that it's standard practice and if i have any bleeding to go to A&E.

32b do you have a hospital nearby that you could call and get put through to the Early Pregnancy Unit? Maybe they can advise?
Going to try this in a minute.

did she give you a booking in appointment? I cant remember how many weeks you think you are now (sorry) but go with the longer one i think to be on the safe side - they can always correct.
  • Congratulations Tigsteroonie and sending lots of be strong vibes to Andrew Marley!!!!

JHA- That is really upsetting for you, but I would imagine that if they thought it was anything very high risk they would get you back in much sooner. Good that you spoke to a MW too- could you possibly speak to your MW again, even if it's on the phone to try and get some more info?

32B- I would think NHS Direct would refer you to your Dr to be honest, at least then you could say to the reception that they had told you to make an emergency apt. When I did this I got an apt within 20 minutes. Also have you considered switching Drs, then you could make an emergency apt with a new Dr straight away?

Just spoken to community MW (not my usual) - she said my MW should be taking the appropriate action... which isn't very reassuring or revealing! Guess I'll just have to wait for next appt and ask...

aww mountianlioness thats not very helpful is it! I havent seen you on the forum for ages - i actually thaught you had had your lo (sorry:o). How is the pregnancy going?

Trying to compose myself feel like i'm in a dream the past few days. Could be 13/14 but i think less, it takes 2 weeks to process booking then appointment is up to 2weeks after letter is posted to you.

Feel completely abandoned and let down. couldn't believe her go to A&E if you start bleeding the voice she used was very dismissive and matter of fact.

Thanks gisi that is reassuring- i am hoping this is the case too. unfortunatley the mw is one of a group that works in the hosp and looks after all preggy ladies - i dont even know her name - she just seems to remember me:o I had got used to taking what mw, doc, etc said to me with a "pinch of salt" as they all seem to contradict but i just let it all get to me yesterday i think.

Thanks for the support everyone - i will stop moaning now

32b - they can seem that way i am afraid. To you your beanie is the most important thing in the world right now and they have to stick to their procedures. I was told no booking in untill 8 weeks any bleeding before then go to a&e too - i am in wales so i think it might be a widespread uk thing? Very upsetting none the less for you though.

Hi everyone, got my bounty pack today :D

I had the voucher in my notes so i went to Asda yesterday to get it and was told they dont have any, haven't had any for ages, and dont know when they are next getting any

Surely they should make an order for some? :rotfl:
But boots came to the rescue and now i have it.

Also had a McDonalds today, had a big mac, which i usually hate but fancied it. Got it home and it was all crappy and burnt a bit. So i only ate half and gave the rest to OH and had some of his frys :D

    A fair exchange i think.

Congrats to tigsteroonie! Andrew Marley is adorable :T

I thought i was getting better last night but now i feel rubbish again today. The walk to boots then McDonalds has knackered me out and my eyes are so sore. And the bad cough is back.
    Being ill is rubbish.

Only highlight is that i got to have a week off work so i've spent most of my time on here and looking for wedding cakes! :rotfl:

Yeah i had to get out of the house! Last night when i went to asda even though it was only a small work i felt good about it after. The fresh air helps :)

We got back just in time today, as we walked into our flat the rain started! :(

Ooh i have decided on my wedding cake!

A french fancy tower cake! With one of the big french fancy cakes on top.
    Im so excited now :)
Damn my wedding being so far away! :(

    xx
