Sorry just realised everyone else beat me to it about the pres card! I don't have time to go to work and keep up with the thread!

Had my 16wk MW appt today and heard the babies heartbeat- was so loud and clear, but very pleased with myself as didn't get emotional. Also prob have UTI no2 already, sorry TMI, I seem to be prone to them anyway but feel fine and hadn't noticed any discomfort at all. MW otherwise very pleased with my rpogress, gutted that won/t see her again because she is leaving but hopefully next one will be just as nice.

Alos, just wanted to ask if anyone else has noticed very strange emotional reactions- whenever I see/ speak to my dad I want to cry and give him a hug, but I daren't do either because I know I'd hold on and cry all day. I wasn't close with my dad until I left home and have got closer over the last year or so, but I just want to cling onto him now! Maybe something to do with mum being in my bad books at the mo. Is very strange and i keep running away from him if i see him in case i start!

OH hovering and waiting for PC to get on with some work (he is launching a Web Design business in his spare time) soo will be off til either late tonight or tomo

xx Hugs and good vibes to all xx

ooh, the only other thing - what does a glucose test involve (I do remember a few of you having this but that was ageeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees ago. Because my booking in BMI was above 28 (a smidge under 30) todays midwife (another one - not seen the same one twice!) decided I need a glucose test at 26 weeks.

In for 8.30am - fast overnight and they do a blood test to see what your fasting levels are. Then drink a minging drink and 2 hours later they re-check your blood levels to see how efficiently your body has broken down the carbs and sugars in the drink.
    Take a book

    very booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring!!!!!!!!!!

Right, I'm packing baby's hospital bag (don't fall over!!!) :rotfl:

I have on my list 5 vests and 5 babygros - so babygros are the ones with feet in right?

And also, should I just take in Newborn stuff or would up to 3 months be OK as well?

Also how many breast pads should I take in?!!!!

Argh!!! where did my post go???

Congratulations Suzy. Glad all went well and love the name Sofia, it's on my list too and mum loves it so a double vote from us. Can't wait to see piccys when you can drag yourself away from the little lady for a few minutes.

My mate has just cancelled my birthday dinner on Friday. Apparently her in laws are coming a day early and she thinks it would be rude to leave as they arrive. As rude as cancelling something you had already arranged for a friend do you suppose? Honestly, I'm sure her hubby could entertain his parents on his own for an evening. Or am I just being a selfish cow? Probably.

    Sorry

seriously would you leave your in laws alone with OH. Could you suffer the consequences the next day, the constant reminders of fending for themselves:confused:
I certainly wouldn't but then my in laws were hell. so perhaps your friend is doing what she could suffer the most your annoyance at the date being changed apposed to MIL saying she is a bad DIL!!

ok, you may have a point. Maybe that's why i don't have any in-laws...too selfish

Though, to be fair, I can only base my experience on my parents who would never expect me to change my plans to accommodate them changing theirs.

Decided to get over myself though. Just being a bit childish over my last solo birthday before my new daughter comes first

God, that'll take some getting used to :D
