    Evening all,

Sammy - sorry to hear your news - take care x
    MBM - congrats!
    Harley - Happy birthday :)

Well, one work day down, 4 to go! Was a bit tiring, but not more so than expected. Bubs has decided to play the pressure game with me this evening: bump is feeling rather heavy and there is pressure on the pelvic area. Also some pains across the middle / top of bump, so must be brackton hicks? Some aches in my sides too. What about you, Glam or Harley or Jillie - you're all due the same time as me. You getting pressure? Sorry if I'm just boring people now with my muttering - I'll try and be better but I do admit the weekend has left me a bit more wary. I just need to know that this is 'normal' :o
  • Yeah, I think the interrupted sleep makes it tougher. I feel so much better if I get a decent night, or manage a daytime nap.

I have five weeks left, which is now 24 days, although I do have two TOIL days so only 22 really I guess! You must be really excited to only have 4 days left!

I'm finishing six weeks before EDD- 2 weeks holiday that I have to take this year, then four weeks ML beforehand. Some days I think how much I'll miss work, but physically it is taking so much of a toll on me, I know I couldn't do any longer. I haven't totally ruled out finishing two weeks earlier. I 'm just waiting to see how my BP behaves really.....

    Hi Squishy!

Mutter away, the more the merrier. Not sure if you were talking to me, but as I am due near enough to 22nd club, I am counting myself in with you guys! I was just saying that it was difficult pushing the trolley in the supermarket as I am getting more and more pain in my bump and pelvic area. Mainly the top of my inner thighs. Even driving seemed more difficult today. My bump just seemed really uncomfortable. I can normally get through a day at work fine, and only notice how sore and swollen I am when I get home, but today I could really feel it starting to take its toll. Might be due to a particularly bad night's sleep last night, but I think it's maybe just getting to that stage.

GISI - I have 4 weeks annual leave before my due date so starting my mat leave on 20th Sept which is my due date.
  • Ooh nice just having 5 weeks left GISI, what are TOIL days btw?

I have 8 weeks left and am doing similar to you, 2 weeks hol then starting maternity leave 2 and half weeks before due date. Cant believe its getting this close!!

I'll have 18 days hols then ml 2 weeks before due date so will be finishing on XMas Eve hopefully which will be lovely! Will be able to enjoy (albeit alcohol free) fesitivities with the added bonus of not going back to work!! Yey:j

Am so hot tonight, I feel like I'm sitting in an oven. Just helped OH apply for another job, hope he finds one soon as I am fed up of typing out application forms (apparently working in HR means you are the oracle on this stuff!)

TOIL - Time Off In Lieu (I think).

Wonder how Glam got on at her sling meet. Think I will mosey on over to lurk on the Parent thread and see how it went....;)

I have been counting the days for a while! Only 4 more days of work left. When are you finishing up GISI? I was feeling really guilty about everyone saying they were working up until really near their due date, but everyone seems to be changing their minds as it gets nearer!

I am finishing with 4 weeks to go, and sometimes I think I could work on longer, but then I come home depressed every night because of my swollen ankles so looking forward to being able to relax a bit. I am not getting much enjoyment out of being pregnant at the moment! Lucky to be getting a couple of hours sleep a night.

    Hi,
My dd was born on 1st October (EDD was 28th Sept) but I finished at the end of August - and boy, was I ready!
Since then, a number of people at my work have practically worked up until their due date, and I did feel a bit guilty for starting my leave so early. However, since getting pregnant again, I must admit that I'll probably do the same this time - it made a real difference having some time before hand to get mentally ready for the baby.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

That will be nice finishing just before Xmas Gemma, and hopefully your lot will be feeling nice and generous with the Christmas spirit when it comes to your leaving present!

Fattybooboo- TOIL=time off in lieu- it's days where I've worked my day off, a holiday day or a bank holiday etc. Theoretically I should get to take them back before I leave, but we'll see if I actually manage to fit them in. Oops- Fitzio beat me to it.

Redstar- I want the time off to get ready physically, if that makes sense. I want to have enough time to just kick back and rest, maybe do some nice relaxed swimming etc. Not to mention go out for coffee with friends etc, just stuff I don't have time for now.
