No, SJ, I didn't mean you're naughty having butter! Enjoy! We have butter for everything. Obviously eating pounds of the stuff isn't that great but unless you live off Nigella recipes you'll be fine lol.

I also usually have brown pasta but it's nice to have the white stuff as a treat... same with bread. Would hardly ever pick it up in the supermarket but just occasionally when they bring out fresh tiger bread from the oven I can't resist. You definitely need real butter with fresh bread!

I can't stand the taste of margarine - even the utterly butterly and things just really don't taste anything like real butter! And you can't beat real butter on crumpets or toasted muffins, or jacket potatoes, ooh the list goes on! (I'm a secret butter-lover!)

Sarah I am the same hate marg etc, so have butter daily. Also i have been quite bad with food this past week and even went for a full english yesterday at the cafe !!! Including a fried slice !!! But had the cafe man laugh at me because got a can of diet coke to take away, but can not stand the taste of coke as it's too sweet for me.
Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j
  • SJ - or not-so-secret!! Now you've got me lusting after crumpets and butter. the best crumpets I've ever managed to buy are from Waitrose... really thick... might just have to pop in now. jacket pots too... cannot understand why when you go to some cafes they put the filling in and no butter! wos that about! It's like going out with no knickers!

Basically am obsessed with 1. carbs (bread, pasta, pots) 2. butter on carbs 3. cheese on the butter on the carbs!!

    Hi ladies,

I'm going to join you all very soon, just waiting to hit 12 weeks so quietly lurking here, however, spotted a bargain today that I thought some of you might be able to get too!
I spotted some baby sleeping bags in Tesco today with 75% off, so only £1.50 each. They're 1.5 tog and available in light blue stripes or pink spots (I think?!) - good to put away for next summer. Hope this helps someone :)
