  • Well i have my bump band on today as i only have one pair of mat jeans and they are in the wash ans it's a bit chilly for crops or a dress. I am not convinced i'm affaid. I have a 30 min walk to take ds to school and all the way i was aware that the jeans might fall down and as they weren't up and secure as they would be if done up i found i was treading on the bottoms of them. They are also still tight un-done and cut me in two a bit when sitting down in them and i find my bump trying to escape out of the gap where it is un-done so my tummy looks really odd shape lol

    Morning all,

Congratulations Jam! Sorry you didn't get your home birth, but glad things are well. Charlotte is a beautiful name.

I didn't get any stretch marks until about 29 weeks. Everywhere I read said you would get them around 26 weeks if you were going to get them so I had hoped I had avoided them, but not so!! Never mind. Not much you can do about it really I think.

Glam - where are my labour vibes??! I demand to be next!!!

  • thanks, aless! think when I looked before there were hardly any on there so maybe loads have been organised more recently, typically my local branch has one tomorrow when I will be up north!!!!

Poor you Glam. He is just showing his appreciation for everything you do for him in the only way he knows how. He is giving you presents. Just not the sort you thought you wanted. lol.

    Bet you forgave him though;)

Thanks for the vibes. Think she has got herself all comfy though. Tonight would be good. Mum and dad have gone off for the day with strict 'not yet' instructions. Like I'll have any say in it.

    xxxx

Of course I forgave him :D The poo incident was funny but the sick frightened me so much it was streaming out of his nose as well! His own fault for drinking 2 bottles in the space of 2 hours! Greedy chunk!

Ah it won't be long now - I can't believe that technically I should still be pregnant!

    Thank you!!!!!

I have actually been getting pains in my tummy for the last couple of hours, about every 15 mins. Hoping these are mild contractions. Although could be indigestion after spicy fajitas last night!!!

Going to have a shower just now and monitor the situation. Washing machine being delivered this afternoon so hubby has taken day off work anyway.

Please keep the vibes coming and keep your fingers crossed. I am totally fed up and trying not to get my hopes up!!!! It's probably nothing but you never know!

Beenie - get the list updated so I can move up!!! ha ha.

I am a dog, I am an IAMS dog! I always say to the dog, 'look Zac you're on the telly' when that add comes on :rotfl:
  • perhaps this is one more for the parents club than here but thinking about work after little one is here. with the commuting and a couple of other things, I am fairly certain I won't be going back to my current job but will certainly need to work but maybe I'll be able to get away with part time working - are there any part time specific job websites out there? Or does anyone know of any good flexible employers in south London? I am a finance professional - although you wouldn't think of it if you saw my bank account! - so I've got fairly transferable skills.
