Nice bump Aless! Mine feels massive in comparison to all the pics going around at the moment!
Congrats Gemma on team pink. Did you have a nice holiday?0 -
Yay, Gemma, congratulations on team pink!
Just to let you know Helen just wrote on my FB to say that she'll be on tomorrow to catch up as things have been mega-hectic recently for her.
Water birth class was good- definitely made me think I want to use a birthing pool. We watched a video of a water birth which was amazing and so calm and then we got to see the pool rooms which was great. Just gotta hope my BP stays ok so I am low risk.
EA- I was gutted when my midwife told me that my Dr won't write a prescription for gaviscon as it costs a bloomin' fortune.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
GISI - Thats rubbish that u cant get a prescription for ur heartburn, I cant understand how some will and some wont, not really fair at all. Glad u enjoyed ur water birth class. I have got a breast feeding workshop class booked for when im on maternity leave, however they said they will be doing about breastfeeding at next weeks antenatal and they have 2 mums coming in to talk to us who are BF, so not sure if its still worth me doing the workshop now??
I have got a midwife check up tomorrow afternoon (finally managed to get an appointment to coincide with work time!!) so Ill update u when Im home in the evening
Im off to bed now, sleep well all xxBaby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0 -
My doc won't give Gaviscon either, but i've got Peptac which is exactly the same, or have had Maalox before which is thinner and chalkier. So is it just that they won't give the brand name one?0

DD now really excited as we told her that there *may* be a baby in mummy's tummy. She wants to come to the hospital for the scan (we told her that that's when we would find out for sure), but don't really think I can let her come just in case there's bad news - do you think I'm being too cautious? I know she would love to watch the scan, but I'm just worried that something might go wrong...

How old is she?
I took DS (6) to my 20 week scan, but not the 12 week one. Not for any reason, just didn't want to bore him by telling him about the baby too early!0 -
She's only 4 - we weren't going to tell her for a while yet, but ended up telling her as she kept getting upset as she can't jump on me and be carried around the way she used to be. Also she could tell that something was going on and she really started playing up.

Ah, i don't know then. I think some sonographers can be a bit funny about it though and not let the kids in til the end, so would you have someone to stay with her if they say that?0

That's a really good point Beenie, dh is hoping to get there before it's all over, but could be a problem at the beginning. Now that I've thought it through 'out loud' (so to speak!) I think I'll be best not to take her - thank-you Beenie!
