Fitzio- Had a great holiday thanks, was very chilled, although put on a monstrous piund a day, not sure how much is overindulgence, how much is baby and how much is the massive calf muscles I am now sporting thanks to loads of hill walking.

My bump is absolutely massive too, I keep getting asked if there is definitely only one, I'll try and post a pic later. 21 weeks today- going so fast.

Jenny- Happy birthday, hope you had a good one.

How has everyone fared so far with stretch marks? I am very prone to them but don't have any yet, just old ones from when I met my OH and went on a takeaway binge for about 6 months (goddamn his mega fast metabolism!)

Still haven't managed to catch up yet, now at work putting off processing 30 odd new nurses, I'm so tired OH was snoring all night, I very nearly suffocated him, tbh I wouldn't even feel guilty about it because I'm so tired!!! (lol)

Morning, OH was watching that discovery channel where its ladies giving birth this morning before he went to work, so when I came down and put the telly on this morning theres a women screaming and a baby coming out!!! Wasn't expecting that! He usually has Mythbusters on lol
Fingers in ears rocking, la-la-la, in complete denial, mine isn't coming out!
  • Gemma- I have been caught by the dreaded stretchmarks. I totally escaped until 30 weeks but I know have a few at the bottom of my bump. No idea if I am prone to them or not- never really stretched that fast before! I'm hoping that the bio-oil will sort them out though.

    Morning all

Just a quick one to announce the arrival of Charlotte Alice on Wed 16th Sept at 7.12 pm weighing 7 pound 3 oz.

Quick BS - waters went 2am Monday morning, nothing more happened. Went in hospital Tues am (bye bye home birth and pool) to be induced. Gave me the pessary at 1pm Tues dinnertime. Nothing happened. The ward at hospital was closed due to several emergencies so I had to stay in Tues night with nothing happening (I nearly signed myself out but was afraid I wouldn't get back in!). Wed am the drip started at 10am, turned out an old scar from a colposcopy I has 15 odd years ago had sealed my cervix and she wouldn't have arrived without help. Ended up having G&A, pethadine and eventually an epidural (cos I was trapped on a bed with monitors etc). Charlotte arrived at 7.12 after and hour and 20 mins of pushing. OH watched the whole thing (after saying he wanted to stay at the head end) and was amazed - says it was the best experience ever. Had to be cut and stiched too (me not OH lol).

Had to stay in for 24 hours as my waters went nearly 60 hours before delivery to check for any infections, got home at 9pm last night. As is always said, she is more than worth all of it and I would do it again in a flash!

Wasn't so short after all -may add few more details later and then will copy to the birth thread. Haven't had chance to catch up -how is ML? Anyone else any news? Will catch up when I get chance and sort out pics xxx Hugs to all xxx

    Congrats JAM :j

Quiet morning here: trying to gear myself up for yet more ironing. Bubs still seems to be sleeping after rumbling about last night, so just have to wait and see when she wakes up: always freaks me out slightly when she is really quiet :o

Still don't know if she has dropped at all: can't tell any difference. Boobs seem to be smaller though, so not sure what's up with that! Hope its not a sign of anything to be worried about... strange stuff really.

Got a list of jobs to do, but don't know what I feel like doing so will have to make up my mind.
  • Congratulations JAM - pretty name, Charlotte - look forward to seeing piccies!
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)
