Personally, I recommend Virgin as it's farrrr cheaper than Sky with its package deals, but I guess it just depends on your preferences - and then you'll never have signal problems b/c it's all cabled :).

Not sure about GISI but I can't get virgin in my area. No cables and no idea if they ever plan to lay any.

VK2008, don't really have any help to offer but I really hope you get your bfp tomorrow. Going to the doctor is probably the best bet but I'm surprised that you got pos followed by neg, I thought they were pretty reliable now. Hopefully someone with more experience will be along shortly to advise.

It looks like they've booked me in for my scan at only 11 weeks. Is this fairly normal or do you think I need to put it back a week?

our trust has started doing the dating scan earlier at 11 weeks so the bloods can pick up anything untoward. Could it be that? xxx

A very neat bump! My stretch marks haven't fully faded from last time, even with the bio oil, so they must've been surprised at my 11 week scan!:o

This happened to me years ago, and unfortunately the outcome was not good news. The doctor should do a blood test to confirm the pregnancy and send you for a dating scan. Don't be fobbed off with "A positive test means its a positive" as the later negative may signify a missed miscarriage, or a chemical pregnancy or just a faulty test. We didn't discover until 17 weeks that we weren't actually pregnant, which was devastating at the time, and it took us 6 years in total and a lot of help to finally get our first child. The good news is that the next two were conceived naturally. Good luck tomorrow but try to keep your hopes in check until you get confirmation that the news is as you want it to be.

For those in tri 3, can I ask about swollen feet and ankles (again!). Mine have been a bit swollen throughout the pregnancy but today they have absolutely ballooned. They actually look as though I have injured them. The left one is about 3 times its normal size and is swollen from mid calf to toes. The right one is twice its normal size. I did phone and speak to the hospital who said that as my wee was fine when dipped on Tuesday that it was probably nothing to worry about unless I also had a headache or disturbed vision, but its freaking me out because it came up so quickly, is so much more swollen than it has been before and nothing is making it go down again. It does leave an indentation when I poke it if that helps. Baby is moving a lot, and my foof hurts like its swollen too, but that is probably ftmi! I'm 38 weeks tomorrow.

Nikki - I have been ridiculously swollen since about 20 weeks or thereabouts. I was quite concerned as it seemed to me to be much more swollen than I would have thought, but midwife was definitelyl unconcerned due to clear urine. Even though my hands were swollen too, and blood pressure was up one week, there was no protein in my urine and no headaches/blurred vision etc so they were happy it was normal and just unlucky. My legs were also swollen and rock hard so much so that I couldn't kneel down as my legs wouldn't bend properly as my calves were solid!

They have been much improved since I have been on maternity leave and have been taking much more rest.
Have you been exerting yourself in the past few days? On your feet or sitting up rather than lying down more than normal?

Nicki, this link looked useful. Some interesting tips there including lying on your left hand side (seems to be the answer to everything in pregnancy:))

    Hi all

Hope everyone is OK, have been away for a week so have not had chance to catch up yet.

Had my 20 week scan today and found out we aare on team.............pink!
Was so certain was having a boy almost bought some stuff a few weeks ago, but thankfully I held off.

With regards to swollen feet, mine haven't been too bad, but flying made them blow up so my toes wouldn't bend properly, and in the heat (34 degrees in Tenerife) my hands were swollen too, now back in 'Sunny' blighty I have returned to normal

Have now ordered a cot so finally feel like we are starting to get ready for being parents!
