    Morning (almost afternoon!)

    Welcome to Dylan :)

£60 a day for a nursery is madness - no idea what they cost locally here but would think in the region of £30-£40..hoping I need never find out so long as my dear mum can cope with baby 5 days a week :)

Ooh 32b congrats on blue bump and being 20 weeks - so jealous!!

V jealous of all you London girls too - I know almost nobody locally with babies so feeling a bit out on my own. Going to have to pluck up the courage to go to aquanatal when I have a bump (would look a bit mad at the moment I think!) and force myself to go to every baby group I can find once LO is here, just wish I had someone to go with!

Squishy - Walnut cake definitely counts as a breakfast option, it has nuts in for one which automatically bumps it up the healthy list :)

Really struggling this morning, hardly slept thanks to blocked up nose and constant need to pee, now have a banging headache which paracetemol aren't touching and really struggling to get my head down and do some work. Feel like someone has filled my head with wool, euuuuurgh.

Getting so frustrated trying to find a car too, I almost cried yesterday afternoon sat in a dealership, really need to get a grip! I just wish someone would give us the value we need on our cars and we could be done with it, think I'm losing my marbles!

I need someone to feed me today, had a tiny yoghurt so far but just can't muster the energy to move downstairs and feed myself. Can you tell I'm having a pity party for myself today? :)

    xxx

anecdotally, I think they work :) average duration of pushing for a first timer: 1.5-2hrs. Me: 37 mins :)

Glam's was quicker I think... and skinty I think, who also had RLT.

    hth

The MW who does my ante-natal classes (and is absolutely lovely) had a baby last year and used RLT and said she definitely thinks it made a difference to her and that she definitely recommends it.

I love London and have missed my annual visit to London this year. DH was saying the other day that he had missed it too. We usually go down once or twice and go to theatre etc. We got engaged in Trafalgar Square (and I got my mugged on The Strand on my 30th birthday!). So lots of lovely memories lol.

I think I would have liked to have lived there when I was younger, but not now. Prefer the suburbs for kids I think. I don't live in the countryside and only 20 mins from Glasgow/Edinburgh, but there is a farm with cows outside our back garden so feel like we have it quite balanced!

We went to London for my Bday in March when I was about 8 weeks pregnant and I found it exhausting then- I'm pretty sure I couldn't cope with the tube or the crowds now. I commuted to London everyday up until about 18 months ago and I used to laugh as people who thought a trip to London was a big deal....not any more! I do love London though.

Well BP was up to 160/78 which is a high systolic reading for me, but as the diastolic is still okay they're not too worried. I am very stressed this week trying to get things finished at work, so hopefully it is just that and will drop down next week. Treated myself to a cooked breakfast at Sainsburys after apt, and the irony of that was not lost on me! In my defence I don't eat meat or eggs so a cooked breakfast for me is not that unhealthy- just had brown toast, beans, grilled tomatoes and a has brown, all washed down with builders tea. It was so yummy though :D.

Sorry I've cropped your post....are you at work? If so, go home!!! Us pregnant ladies need to take care of ourselves and you need to lie down and have a nap. Sorry for being bossy, but I've muddled on all the way through and no-one is really appreciative of it so take care of yourself!

  • It's seems I am quite lucky then because of the cost of childcare my mum is going to have bumper, which is handy as she live's around the corner from me. So i am counting my luck stars, So how many of us south London ladies are having their lo at sy Georges, I work about two mins away from st Georges which is really handy for our appts as we have a car park so oh just parks here and we walk and it's free. A south london meet would be good, have lived in my area all my live but one day would love to get to live in the country, maybe if we win this weeks euro lottery !!!
Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j

Thanks GISI :) Self employed and work from home so I'm afraid I have to carry on if I want paying :( I'm half tempted to ring my mum and get her to help me, all I really have to do today is pack up some parcels and drop them off to be shipped abroad, but I just can't muster the energy. Sat at my desk with my hot water bottle staring into space!!

*gives good energy vibes to gymfiend* Maybe have some herbal tea to invigorate you? Or a glass of fruit juice?
