jenny - yeah, your post about nurseries has really scared me. Need to start looking locally and making some decisions. Had thought we might want to go with a childminder, so surely a year in advance is a bit early for those? I'm sooooo clueless in this realm and we can't afford anything close to £60/day!!
Aless, not sure if this helps, but my friends in Islington have found a very reasonably priced childminder £28 per day from memory:money:, but I can text her to check if you like? Although it's London, I don't think it has to be scary prices IYSWIM?

Nice to see everyone is busy posting this morning again lol.
Well had an awful nights sleep, am so warm through the night its hard to get comfy. Am still using summer duvet, windows are wide open and the fan is on, so don't know what else I can doAnyhoo as its my day off I thought no worries I'll have a lie in, no such chance thanks to the damn noisy gardners!
South London meet up sounds fun, altho I'm pushing the boundries of london lol and miles out from you lot. Follow the A3 all the way down to where it meets the M25 and thats where you'll find me. Jenny & Always, am aiming to arrive early tomorrow for aquanatal (leaving work early) so hopefully will get a chance to say hi properly.
Aless - I grew up in yorkshire and also have fab memories of our rural setting. would love to move somewhere like that again but OH is such a mummies boy it probably will never happen. Not that we live in a huge built up area atm tho, so we kinda have the best of both here.
Weezl - Your MW's sound fab, hope mine are like that too. Am hoping to meet my allocated mw this afternoon as she was off sick at last appointment.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Thanks Kindof - I am not sure if normal wear and tear is covered under contents insurance, but I wouldn't bother for something like this even if it was. We had our first insurance claim a few months ago when living room got flooded (and our payments have now doubled!!), but would really only claim if I had to.
Was just going to say about Jam, ML and Jillie. Good luck to Jillie and fingers crossed that ML and Jam are doing well. They had both planned home births didn't they? Hope it has gone well no matter where they ended up.
Right, I am showered now, so will have some rice crispies and then go to mum's. Will catch up later and keep you updated if anything happens.
**TMI - Keep losing more of my plug, so hopefully that's a good sign!

Oooooh somnium, do you get an allocated one for labour, or just for all your ante-natal care? Sounds intriguing! I hope she's lovely too

Weezl - think its just for the antenal care but was going to ask that question today. Hoping I get to hear bubs HB today, but OH is disapointed that he can't make appt, wonder if she would let me record it on my phone for him? He's been such a sweetie lately and already offering to sleep on the sofa if it helps me sleep better.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

weezl - yeah, some of the childminders have cheaper rates, it's just finding one that does the right hours and where I can pick up baby w/o a car and get home okay. It's all so complicated...I had been thinking of poss. moving to a compressed work week which would mean not getting to our area 'til 6:30 to pick up (and no one seems to go that late) and DH's job is even longer hours so it just does my head in and I hate that it all seems so unaffordable for normal people, IFYSWIM?top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

Did i mention i had a huuuuuuuuuuge spider in the bathroom sink last night?! I spent about 20 mins taking deep breaths and plucking up the courage to do something with it, and went in armed with a dictionary and some window spray (?!).
In the end i made it move and turned the tap on, but it was too big to go down the plug so i poured a glug of bleach down with it and it went. So i put all the plugs in and put tissue in the overflows
I need to tidy upstiars but it's so messy i'm scared of unearthing a load of spiders:(
