Have no idea if they work, they're supposed to speed up second stage labour and make your contractions more effective plus help uterus to contract after.
I took them with DD and all this happened but whos to say if that was the tabs or just my body??
anecdotally, I think they work :) average duration of pushing for a first timer: 1.5-2hrs. Me: 37 mins :)

Glam's was quicker I think... and skinty I think, who also had RLT.

I wish i knew how long my pushing stage lasted with DS. I'm praying i get a good labour again, it was so perfect the first time (well, apart from MW thinking i was lying about the level of pain) Think they assume it will take 3 days if it's your first

I daren't take any RLT, MW at DS birth said do NOT mess about when i go into labour with 2nd cos it should be even quicker and i'll probs have it in the car lol, they suggested a HB but i'm not keen

Fab lou, we can add you to the list. At this rate, I don't think all of us will fit in 1 person's flat, LOL! :D

Fitzio - guilty as charged on the Hobnobs :D. They're just so delish!

Beenie - have been delinquent lately with taking pics. Will try and remember to do one soon and post it...I definitely have pudge below my bump too, so don't feel alone, :p

You can ask to see your notes from last time, it'll all be in there

Do i just ask my normal MW? It's only for curiosity and i don't want to be awkward :o

She did update current notes with length of last labour and she wrote 2 hours, but they'd based that on the time i said my waters broke, and i didn't have any pain for the first hour, but in the 2nd hour i had no break between contractions and she wouldn't check me cos she didn't believe i was ready, i was

He he. You've been lurking too then! I don't remember either of them from the Pregnancy thread actually, but recognise most of the others. We all seem to be a bit spread out in Scotland don't we? You are probably less than an hour from me mind you, which is probably quicker than crossing London!

The thought of living somewhere like London and trying to get about fills me with horror!! Much prefer living in the sticks :rotfl:

Lanark not too far from me, if you take the humpy bumpy backroads

your 2nd stage length should be in the notes, which you're allowed a copy of ;)

    edit sorry csh cross posts!

You can ask her and see what she says, but I think for full access you have to contact PALS service at your hospital
