Found out a few things that i didn't know as well that angered me. Firstly i found out i should not have been allowed to labour with DS after the complications with DD.
My doctors and midwifes I see now are always shocked that I was allowed to labour and have a natural delivery with DD. But this was 13yrs ago and things were very different with CS then. They are a lot more common these days.
Think your DS is about 9/10? Old school attitudes would have still applied then so you probaly did have the correct care due to you at the time for those days IYKWIM.
Its all cut now think later with CS these days  (Don't mean to offend anyone whos had a CS but they really did used to treat them as last resort only before death!)
Anyway, congrats on being 20wks! It'll fly in now0 -
Good morning girls,
hope all mums-to-be and bumps are doing well this morning, and that all with their new (or not so new!) babies are getting on just fine
zgaze - congratulations! sorry it didn't all go to plan but Dylan is beautifullil_miss_06 wrote: »wow nurseries are so expensive,,,its crazy,,how early do you have to put your name down???
jennynoo is right: if you really like a nursery and it's a good one, you need to book as soon as you think you're going to need it. I'm not looking to go back to work until next July, but had to put bubs name down at the end of July this year (so a year in advance) just to get onto the wait list! Thankfully, was confirmed yesterday we have a space so just need to pay the rest of the booking fee to get her place. It's crazy (and a huuuge expense come next year!)
Got lots of plans again to get stuff done today, but tired so don't know how much will actually get done  Can you get the nesting instinct without the energy to actually do the nesting?0 -
Hmmmmm. Does walnut cake count as a possible breakfast option?0

I just had two Twink's hobnobs! In my defence I am just about to dash out to the nurse and didn't want to not eat anything beforeI went.
Morning everyone. Be back later but fingers crossed for some babies making an appearance today!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Morning all.
I am fed up. My bump has been going hard all night, but it's not sore, so I just think it's the baby moving. I assume I will know if I start having contractions won't I? Feel really sicky today and been having pain in my lower back all night. But no rest for the wicked. Need to take washing to my mum's as I have a load which is soaking wet from before the machine died.
Csh - I have loads of RLT capsules and have no idea if they are helping! Do you think they help to bring on labour? I thought I was taking them to help my uterus contract after the birth, but I am a bit clueless with medical stuff.
Squishy - Walnut cake is similar to carrot cake which is clearly good for you so go for it. I have lots of cakes in (and your MIL's hobnobs) for visitors after the birth, but if baby doesn't hurry up, there will be none left!!0 -
zgaze - congrats! Yes, we'll all have to arrange an MSE tea morning or something once all the babies have arrived (I think I'll be last, hehe)
. I'm halfway b/t Streatham Hill & West Norwood, but use WN for the train. So v close to everyone and we probably pass jenny's house whenever we go to Sainsbury's, LOL. Can't believe there's so many of us so close! I'm the odd one out and having baby at St Thomas's up in Waterloo...not sure how it ended up that way except way back in the day (lol) GP recommended it over St. G's and not knowing any difference, I agreed.
Squishy - go for it! I had a couple Twink's HobNobs this morning too.
Fitzio - sending HUUUUUUUUGE labour vibes for you. Hope you get washing sorted and feel better.
Well I think I've finally gotten to the point where I'm with the rest of you being uncomfortable while sleeping. The past couple nights I've really noticed it and just find it really hard to get into a good position. Guess that means bump is getting big now!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

They don't bring on labour, just thinking if i go out my way to buy them, then this pesky baby will pop out tonight just to laugh at me lol
Have no idea if they work, they're supposed to speed up second stage labour and make your contractions more effective plus help uterus to contract after.
I took them with DD and all this happened but whos to say if that was the tabs or just my body??0 -
I was good and had some cocopops, but they just weren't what I wanted. So I think I'll put the kettle on and have coffee and cake
Fitzio - hopefully things will get moving for you soon xx Such a shame about the washing machine: ours is being temperamental but fingers crossed it's okay just now so hoping it stays that way! Can I ask whereabout in scotland you are? Just wondering if anyone is near me at all0
