It's seems I am quite lucky then because of the cost of childcare my mum is going to have bumper, which is handy as she live's around the corner from me.
Lou, I hope you don't mind me asking, is your mum thinking of charging you? my mum will be £30 a day and I was just wondering if this was the norm?

Thanks ladies...going to get this packing done now (been telling myself this for an hour!) then have a cup of tea and see if I can find any biscuits, if not it might just be a sneaky mint aero for lunch
Will be back later to catch up again, if I hang around I'll never do any work!!xxx
p.s. Weezl my mum is taking our baby for free - though I'd like to think I'll do bits and pieces for her to make up for it, take her for dinner every couple of weeks etc.Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -

No worries, we have not spoke about it but I dont think so, she works for my dad's company from home, but my uncle who has my cousins baby charges her i think £25.00 per day or something along those lines. However I am now going to have to talk to her and see  xxxDarling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0 -
Right I've saved a list on my computer of all our names so will be able to remember who to invite when we finally organise a get together.
Off to bed now, first antenatal class tomorrow
now that is organised - am in Sutton so about as south south London as it gets!
Hope you enjoy your antenatal today!0 -
Just got back from the MW and she gave me my Health in Pregnancy grant i had completely forgotten about it so it was a good job she hadn't.
Once again she said your growing well and wow your carring all up top are you having a girl? No Boy. He measured a bit big and she said he is currently breech all ok, water sample clear so infection gone and no ketones in it ether unlike a few days ago which could indicate diabetes so that was good. But then not a single sweet thing has crossed my lips in days not even had a class of my fav coke. I am going to be naughty though as i have a sticky toffee pudding in the fridge so will look forward to that tonight. Then i must be good as got GTT at the end of the month. it's just so hard as i am a chef and specialized in puddings and deserts.
I made a huge batch of green tomato chutney last night and it's all i can do not to open a jar for lunch but it must mature. Can't believe iv'e got to make our crimbo cake soon.
Off to catch up a bit then must tidy a bit got in-laws popping over. This is my signature!0 -
Fab lou, we can add you to the list. At this rate, I don't think all of us will fit in 1 person's flat, LOL!
If the new house purchase goes through, you can all come round to mine but only if you promise to bring paint brushes. I've lived in flats for so long, can't wait to have my own stairs to run up and down - and the house is 3 floors so twice as many stairs. And twice as many stairgates to buy one day too!!0 -
Weird. My ex's mother just rang me. Not sure how i feel about it, i've never really spoken to her properly so it was v.strange.0

gymfiend - hope you feel better soon. Have to say I agree with GISI following comment from OH this morning when I was looking most pale: me and little one more important than work so here's me in front of the telly rather than in the office
. I don't know how some of you ladies are planning to work up until your due dates although I think my 3 hour daily commute is what does me in.
Not feeling quite right still but off for a walk in the windy fresh air, apart from anything else mooching around on the discounts board, read about the asda baby event so think it might be time to have a look for some little treats for little one - nothing too big though as we'll only have to move it again in a few weeks (I hope!)0 -
always - sold! We help paint and in return you provide the tea
. Which ASDA do you usually go to - Croydon? We go to the Clapham Junc one so if anyone's there before I make it, would be nice to know just how much Baby Event stuff they're stocking.
