Sorry I missed you out Lou, have added you to my list. Always - when do you want your house painting!
Think I might email a few childminders and see if any of them do flexible time as I still have the problem with my OH working shifts and being off on weekdays but different days each week. I've just been a bit reluctant to look at them though because there is one on my road who looks really scary and her house looks a tip. Also don't know when I'll find the time to visit a few.
Beenie - hope you don't find any more spiders! Next time fill a jug with water - more MSE than wasting a load of bleech although your pipes are probably really clean now! When I have ones in the bath I leave the shower on for ages to make sure they have been flushed as far as possible!Mum to DD born Oct 2009

lol aless
My store cupboard isn't looking too healthy, need to do a shop badly! So til then it's probably toast!
Hmmmm what to spend my last £3 on
Jenny i did consider water but ideally i like to just squish them, i know they'll just run away from water and i'd have to move out if it went missing  So i thought if i couldn't squish it then i'd spray it with cleaner and hope that slowed it down. Really wanted ex back last night, if only to do spider patrol and yukky jobs round the house, but maybe not for the best reasons :rotfl:0 -
awww, I would kill spiders for you guys if I could help. Don't mind bugs and things at all - growing up in the country you really can't be afraid as you'll spend your whole life in fear
(if it makes you feel better, DH is scared of spiders and bees so I have to be the 'man' and deal with them for him, LOL)

Glad it's just not me, I work at least 1/2hrs work to the nearest chip shop but was so tempted to walk up there as I had my sandwich and a packet of crisps and it's like I ve not eaten, Just need more food,But trying to be good and not bring in more money than i need i have sod all on me. So planning dinner tonight which is making it worse.

I hate hate hate them, also i hate when people say "oh they're good they eat flies" NO they're not good when i die of heart failure! I'd rather spend my life swatting flies than leaving spiders to invade my house on the off chance they will eat the flies lol!
Besides, i have the cat to eat the flies, she doesn't do spiders though lol. Wonder if i could train the dog to eat them.
I'd get OH to deal with a spider and insist on seeing the proof. There's no releasing them into the garden in this house, they have to DIE!!
Actually i squished a spider on my wall about 2 years ago and left it there for all the other spiders to see, and i never had anymore for ages :rotfl: Think they knew the score!0 -
LOL you sound just like my DH...I have to fight tooth & nail to not get him to smash them because I always prefer to just scootch them outside. FWIW, my parents had a dog that LOVED to eat spiders (seriously like his favorite thing) so it's totally possible!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
