  • Morning all. Can I ask if any of you have gestational diabetes? I have the hospital this afternoon as I have been diagnosed with it and have to go and see a multitude of people. Been stabbing myself for the last few days keeping a diary so they can decide what treatment is necessary.

A complication I could do without!

why those particular brands originally? I get that now it's about having them already!:money:

does the spatone help the anaemia?

    xxx

Good luck to everyone and lots of easy labour vibes for today!

Weezl - I have got all my nappies secondhand already, so I guess it was a case of what was available too. Bimbles are the cutest smallest little nappy ever, motherease onesize I got 20 for £80 off ebay (some are very grey and raggedy now), Bumbles are really absorbant and last my 2 year old up to 5 hours (bad mummy forgetting nappy change):o. I have some odds and ends too - a few old TotsBots and the like, but my workhorse nappies have done me proud. I dry pail and do a wash every other day and even with two in nappies in the past it has worked well for us. I'm a disposable user at night too, I am too lazy and need my sleep too much for a two-part system then.

As for the Spatone, I do believe it has helped every time. My last iron levels were at 16 weeks and were 12.5 - at the 12 week scan I got recalled as they were too low. I need to keep them above 10.5 if I want my homebirth, so that's my incentive. Funnily enough, the midwife I saw at Llandough on Friday said calcium levels are really important too, but with the stupid amount of cheese I eat (as a veggie) I am fine.

Sorry, very long post there. Hope every one is well and has a good day.:D

Thanks anyway - due to lack of Google info I will be surprised if many people know much more about it than the baby injection bit!

lol @ madwoman, why are you making chicken curry at 8:40am this morning:rotfl:

I think csh will be round your house if she smells it

No you're safe! Had my fix for today already:rotfl:

Had another round of a few hrs of BH's and backache yesterday. Went for a 3 mile walk along the canal (and ate a pineapple lol) to try and shift him along and big fat nothing!

Thats the ILs away on holiday now so if he comes in the next week they'll miss it :-(

    Good luck Jam!
  • Someone has to have a baby today, surely! lots of lovely labour vibes jam and jillie and ML!

feel dreadful today for no particular reason - think it must be the grey London drizzle, seriously thinking of "developing" a headache to go home early, bad mummytobe that I am!

Great reading all the info about nappies (thanks weezl and gin) - must read up some more about that, I've been looking at bumgenius but they are pricey.

Glam - what gorgeous pics of Jack, thanks for brightening the drizzle!
