I thought Sugar posted somethng about magnesium STOPPING labor??? Need to look further...
eta: she said:Also, if anyone's taking a magnesium supplement, this is supposed to help support and maintain cervical thickness and closed-ness. Which I only found out two days ago and has been irking me ever since.
So not 'stopping' labour per se, but might want to think twice about taking magnesium in late pregnancy?? Best to ask MW, of course, if you're unsure.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Harley - you're lucky your bubs is that far engaged! I am concerned that my baby wasn't engaged at all at last weeks appointment and that this means I'm going to go waaaay overdue (when I'd be quite happy for her to arrive this weekend)
I guess you could go for a lot of walks - do you have a gym ball you could use as well?
ETA: looks like Fitzio is in the same position so you could well be soon tooHarley – glad your appointment went well and just get bouncing on a gym ball!
Sorry for the long post – just a bit excited that things could be happening when I didn’t expect it! :j
Don't blame you for being excited. So am I now that I know she is heading in the right direction. Am so going to miss feeling her move around though. I love my bump. Next goal: find a man so that I can do it all over again. :rotfl:lol

Hi girls
I've got my first doctors appointment this afternoon, not too sure what to expect from it. Will she want me to do a test while I'm there? Going off my last period I think I'm 6 weeks.
Had a bit of a stressful week as I've been spotting since last Monday. From my searching on google it appears to be normal. Did another test (my 4th lol!!) this morning and the line came up instantly so I think that's a good sign that my hormone levels are high and bean is sticking for now.
I totally agree with keeping names to yourself - when I was ttc I told my best mate (who really is the best mate anyone could ever want it every other way) my two fave girls name - Bethany and Briony. She came straight back with one makes me think of a lisp and the other of brine and has totally put my off Briony now
Hi Gil, I hope your appointment goes well, the bleeding could be nothing but if it has been bleeding for a long time I don't think it is a good sign. (That is what happened when I had a miscarriage and gradually, over a few weeks, the bleeding got worse) It's really horrid that there is nothing you can do at that stage but wait to find out if bean is going to stick or not. Fingers crossed for you that it does.

Well it has helped, thanks, will be looking at the ones without magnesium in. Going to stop at Boots on the way home to see if they have the arnica and will also have a gander at any calcium tablets they have, is 3 for 2 at the mo so might be worth getting them there possibly.....0

I nipped to tesco as i noticed this yesterday going cheap but i wanted to double up some points and get it but i didn't have any vouchers on me. There was only 2 left It was reduced to £7.86 so i only spent £4 in points on it but you have to double up in 5's or 10's so doubled a £5 voucher making it £10 but you have to then spend the whole £10 you can't get change so i had to buy something for £2 to make it up and got some food tubs that were also on offer, they were £2.50 reduced to £1.14 so i got 2 of them leaving me with 14p to pay does that make sense. hope that helps someone. The blue one was only on offer the pink one was still £19.99 in store.
I am a bit worried about my cousin she is due a month before me and the docs are v worried that the babies belly is large. She has had a GT and it came back normal but they are repeating it again next week and she has to have another scan as her 3 one still showed the baby to be big it is currently 5lbs she is due in nov going to google babies with big bellies and see what it says. This is my signature!0 -
Well so much for keeping moving to get contractions going. I just woke up on the sofa after an hour and a half's kip. I was very tired having been up most of the night. Will get moving in earnest now though cos I feel more awake. Still getting contractions low down every half hour or so but nothing closer together than than. Wish I'd got a bl**dy gym ball thing .
Midwife called back and I gotta go in at 10am tomoz if nothing has happened so still got time to get started - if not by bedtime will have to go to bed early and get up very early and jog round the block -thats if I've stopped leaking by then! lol
Hugs to all, back in a bit xxxMy baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0 -
