:kisses3:EA, you are an absolute star.

Off to have a read in the hope that it takes my mind off these Branstons. Unless of course, bubs is preparing to come out on preferred date of 9/9/09 but I doubt I'll get that lucky.

I was with sky for 6 years, never late with a payment and when i rang to cancel they offered me a lower package for 3 months for about £5 less than i was already paying . I was expecting great things, but no... am on Virgin now

Damn it, the only time i dont CTRL+C my message, my broadband goes downs and deletes it :(

Even though i work for sky and am entitle to have sky 1/2 price, me and OH are getting Virgin Media at our new place.
Mainly for the broadband as to get sky's best Broadband you have to pay out more. And sky is more expensive when it comes to having the good package. I know i get it 1/2 price, but it will stop once i leave there after i finish ML. And we cant afford it.

    So Virgin it is :D

Plus you can never get through to sky. I hated transfering people to other depts as i would be on hold for ages, meaning they were. Im glad we dont transfer from our dept now :D

Are you sure you will definitely want to go back to work when ML is over? If so, it might make sense to take your mat leave first, and tag all your leave over to the end. The reason I say this is that the first 6 weeks of mat leave are 90% of your current pay, and your AL will be 100% pay at whatever your then salary is. If you've had an annual increment or cost of living payrise when off on mat leave, you'll end up better off by doing it that way. Added to which, your outgoings are going to be higher at the end of your period of mat leave than they will be before bubs is born, just because you'll have an extra little person in the family to buy for, who will be needing clothes, food and nappies on a seemingly never ending basis (most of which stuff you'll have already bought for your newborn by the time your last day of work comes round).

No I get 100% pay for 26 weeks, so it doesnt make a difference when I take the leave does it?

And yes I will def be going back to work, I have a good job, I have worked there 10 years, and have a good pension lol, plus we cant afford for me not to go back to work lol

    EA, how about this one:
    http://www.toysbythebundle.co.uk/mickey-mouse-clubhouse-soft--insulated-school-lunch-box-6305-p.asp

Or type Mickey Mouse Lunch Box into ebay, there seem to be quite a few as well as rucksacks and other things for school.

Thanks for info on Sky. Didn't really want to risk cancelling in case they say ok then but just looked at virgin as an alternative and they don't cover my area.

Might have to bite the bullet and threaten to pull my custom. Especialy next time the damn box goes wrong on me.

I found a lunch bag, im watching it at the moment. I dont want to pay loads for it though as he's a rough and tumble 4 year old boy lol. I can imagine it would break fairly soon :(

Thanks for that link, its out of stock though :(

With SKY you can rejoin within 30 days of the cancellation. So for example, if you cancel, it takes 30 days to cancel completley incase you change your mind, so you can call back and say "no i dont want to cancel now" and they cancel the cancel.

    If that makes sense? lol
