  • Ooh, some early birds on here, but we're obviously all going to bed too early as not much night time chat!

I tossed and turned a lot last night, then got up at 1am to shut the windows as the wind was so noisy! OH was/is at work so I made the most of the body pillow, but was still quite restless. I never sleep well when I have to be up at stupid o'clock! Still, only two more earlies after today. The rest of my days left at work are more respactable start times.

Thanks for the bra update, Fitz! Need to start thinking about getting some nursing bras I think.

    Have a great day everyone x x

TENS machines - are the ones for use in labour specific to pregnancy in any way? If not, then some of you might like to know that today's GrabitNow offer is for two HomeTek TENS Massager Kits for £11.65. NB - This is not a recommendation, just an offer I spotted.

Morning, am knackered today! Woke up at 4.45am for toilet and couldn't fall back to sleep, boo! Have got midwife today at half 9, it'll be fun trying to get up on the bed cos my left leg has decided it doesn't work anymore and my brain has no control over it lol
  • Morning ladies,

Just had a bit of a scare. Went to the loo and the gusset of my pj shorts was really wet, more so than if I had just had a bit of discharge, and then I had really bad diarhhoea (sp). Came back up to bed and noticed there's a wet stain on my side of the bed, luckily I put down the mattress protector. Had a few grumbles in my tum and back but nothing else. I'll monitor it I think!

My plan for the day is to clean the kitchen, inc the oven. OH has left me a mask from his shed so I don't breathe in fumes. This afternoon I plan to stitch and put my feet up.

I wondered this. My gran has one I was going to borrow but I don't know if there are different kinds.

Hi Tigs. Hope you, andrew and marley boy are still doing well.

Just to let you know that I asked the midwife last week and ordinary TENS and Labour TENS are different. I have an ordinary OMRON one which is fab - but not for use in pregnancy - god, I've missed it, and I paid £84 for it, so the above is an absolute bargain :T for anyone who wants one just for the massage part of it.

I'm off to visit a friend this morning. Only 2 months late but I'm taking their birthday presents up except I can't find any nice girly wrapping paper.

    Morning all,

Tigs - I am not sure if the TENS machine would be suitable for labour. I have no experience of them, so I am not sure (maybe someone else can advise), but at the Parentcraft class last night they reminded us to only buy ones suitable for pregnancy that have a boost button so that you can boost it at the peak of a contraction. I don't think this one has a boost button, but I could be wrong. Hope you are well and little Andrew is coming on strong. x

Harley - enjoy your visit to your friend.
CSH - hope your leg is better and your appt goes well.
Bear - wooo! How exciting. Could it be you who gets the 090909 date?!

have my annoying blood pressure check this morning - it's invariably late and I've yet to see a doctor I like who does this and comes across as having more than half a brain cell and tbh I don't know why I can't have it done by the midwives and have a nice chat with them at the same time. Not felt any wriggles yet this morning, 1 quiet day seems OK, 2 not so definitely will be mentioning this later - and first before my blood pressure is checked. Am 28 weeks tomorrow so hope it's all OK - he's still too small to need to make an appearance in the world yet. And is it wrong to be feeling nauseous now when I haven't done more than once or twice the whole way through????

    Morning all :)

Well I got an email from my slimming world consultant, who has spoke to her boss and I can go to slimming world for free while I am pregnant yay lol, I have to get weighed on thursday then declare target, then tell the computer lady that I am pergnant and it shouldnt charge me anymore :)

Which is great, cos I cant afford to go and pay £4.50 each week to put weight on (although I am hoping I am not going to put loads on?)

I am going maternity clothes shopping on saturday and we are going to browse Mothercare, we are skint at the minute lol so we wont be buying anything in mothercare (I say that now lol) but I DEFFO need some new pants!

These ones are tight *le sigh* lol

  • Last night I was getting really frustrated being pregnant. I'm putting on more weight and feel and look bloated, whereas all the rest of the way through I've been glowing and just had a bump.

Also, thre shelf we put up in the nursery isn't strong enough to hold the baskets of baby stuff I wanted to store there, so on sat OH will have to take it down and buy a proper wooden shelf. Still need to add a few things to the hospital bag, so I'm going to do that today - just in case.
