Stupid horrible trains this morning, got in 30 min late.

Fitzio - thanks so much for the bra recs. I'm a large size, too (God only knows what I'm actually am...was 34G pre-preg now wearing some H's to get me through ) so think I will need to pop to a Bravissimo for a fitting towards the end for nursing bras. Even just to get a good fitting, b/c unfortunately their prices keep going up and I'm slowly getting outpriced from any of their lovely stuff. Ta for link, SS.

Glam - I'm glad to hear someone else eats sugar (well, Splenda for me) and jam in their porridge. I wasn't sure if it was something I just made up, hehe.

GISI - glad your early shifts are almost over! I'm sure it'll be a relief once you can sleep in, eh?

Bear -ooo, keep us informed of any developments!

always - We were planning on popping into the Baby Show possibly, but haven't made any decisions yet. Wouldn't buy anything, as we're trying to get everything as MSE as possible, but it might be a fun day out. Also, hope your little sends some wriggles soon! Mine was quiet yesterday, too...maybe it was something in the air? :p

have my annoying blood pressure check this morning - it's invariably late and I've yet to see a doctor I like who does this and comes across as having more than half a brain cell and tbh I don't know why I can't have it done by the midwives and have a nice chat with them at the same time. Not felt any wriggles yet this morning, 1 quiet day seems OK, 2 not so definitely will be mentioning this later - and first before my blood pressure is checked. Am 28 weeks tomorrow so hope it's all OK - he's still too small to need to make an appearance in the world yet. And is it wrong to be feeling nauseous now when I haven't done more than once or twice the whole way through????

I was supposed to have an antenatal appointment today at my docs but couldn't get one! The docs are always too busy, I also would just prefer to see the midwives. I had loads of quite days around 28 weeks, I think sometimes she just turned and would be kicking my back instead of front so I wouldn't feel it - at least that was my theory! Now I feel every turn so would be much more worried if I went a day without any movements. I've also had the odd nauseous moment so I wouldn't worry but tell the doc.

My sister used my aunts tens machine so it definitely wasn't a pregnancy one but it was an high quality one and she said it was really good.

Last night I was getting really frustrated being pregnant. I'm putting on more weight and feel and look bloated, whereas all the rest of the way through I've been glowing and just had a bump.

The bloating can be a sign that things are imminent - are you swollen round the face as well?

  • Nothing has happened since, so i don't think today is my day!

Feeling disgruntled with OH, he locked my spare bin bags in the shed, so I've had to go rummaging around and forgot to put the green recycle bags around the front so we've missed the fortnightly collection. Bl**dy bu**ger. Not amused.

Good luck on your frist shopping trip Glam and I hope everyone else is having a better morning than me!. My kitchen cleaning awaits.

    Check in later.

Oh God, really. Yes, I looked incredibly bloated around the face last night and I got on the scales this morning after the doo doo incident (too much info I know!) and I've put on 2.7 stone since falling pregnant and it was only 2 stone 2.5 weeks ago.

    Hi everyone,

Ooh good luck bear could be something's starting to happen....labour vibes to you if you want them x

Glad you're even enjoying the night feeds Glam! I'm hoping I'll be a bit more like that this time. My little girl was a colicky little thing and for the first few months she barely slept and wanted me to be constantly standing up swaying her vigorously in between the hours and hours of being glued to the couch for feeds. I was on my own with her too so it made it much harder. I think for weeks on end I was walking into furniture and talking nonsense because I could only grab the odd few minutes sleep here and there. I think that's why it's took me 7 years to have another one!

Have any of the new mums found any similarities to baby's pattern of movement when in tummy to their waking/sleeping patterns now? I wondered if the the baby tended to keep to these patterns after they are born, can't tell for when DD was a baby as she was always awake but this one seems to be most active in the evening and during the night - eek!

Had my first cup of RLT this morning and I actually thought it was ok, not sure I'll still think that after having it for a few days but really wasn't as bad as I expected.

Had horrid restless legs again last night so had to go to bed early. Had a dream that i was laying budget floor covering in Morrisons then I carefully layed small Russian dolls equal distance apart around the edges of it, then all the managers came over and said what a good job i'd done then they all weed on it!!

Sorry so many of you had crap night's sleep. I can't believe how well I'm sleeping compared to my other pregnancy so far. I was so expecting to have a huge period of having no sleep like last time but it's been great.

Oh speaking of tens machines I was looking to buy one but obviously not one that costs a bomb as I know not everyone gets along with them. I'm a tens virgin so dont want to waste a lot of money if I can't stand it. I get terrible menstrual cramps so if I find it effective I thought it might be useful for that. Was wondering if anyone had used the Lloyds chemist labour one: http://www.lloydspharmacy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=1008&storeId=90&productId=322651&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=&top=&top_category=&fromPage=Search&hotspot_prefix=

not very good with posting links so hope this worked!

Hope everyone is having a good morning so far.

gymfiend - I literally only put on like 2 pounds in the 1st trimester...it's gone up now, but still not massive quantities. I didn't have MS either, but being larger means you're supposed to gain a bit less as you've already got the fat storage there, haha?
