    Hello,

Just wondered if anyone could help with ideas? I am coming for 7 weeks now and the MS has well and truly come into force! I can't cope with it! For past week it is everyday nearly all day, I can't do anything round the house cos I have no energy from running backwards and forwards to the toilet! I have tried eating ginger biscuits but I don't like them! I am thinking of going to the docs tomorrow if I can get a appointment.

    Jolene :(

oh and another thing that's supposed to help bring on labour is............

hand expressing - yon can start from 37 weeks and it produces same hormones that labour does so can trigger it.

    Anyone need instructions?!! :rotfl:

Ive tried that glam and cant get a single drop out of them ive been tempted to put my pump on to see if that helps. strange thing is once bubs is here there will be no stopping it i seem to produce more milk than the local dairy herd :-) x

Jolene tonic water helped me and also not eating before 10am i know the books say to eat before you get up but if i did i would spend all day with my head down the loo. Might be worth doing a few experiments with eating times and see if there is a pattern to the sickness :-)

Re the hand expressing, won't that just get rid of the colostrum that comes first, before milk actually comes in? I thought colostrum was the most important part for newborn

Get your thumb and index finger in a C shape and cup nipple

Feel back from the end of the nipple to where the texture of your breasts feels different (MW said it feels like little pods and it does)

Using your thumb and index finger, gently squeeze the area (it shouldn't hurt)

Release the pressure and repeat agin building up a rhythm
Avoid sliding your fingers over the skin

(that's copied from the leaflet she gave me)

She said you need to do it for about 10 minutes - you might get a drop of colostrum, you might not get anything. It doesn't mean you can't breastfeed if you don't get anything as milk doesn't come in for 3 days afterwards anyway.

Oh and another thing she said was the nipples give off a pheromone (?sp) that attracts baby to nipple so after delivery they will try and suckle when you do skin to skin (let them). When you shower try not to use a strong shower gel on your boobs - in fact she said it was best to just rinse them with water if you can.

    Morning everyone,

    How are you all feeling

Well I am totally nervous and excited, I have my scan at 2.15 eek

:D:D:D:D And if your scan is today it means mine is in 2 days!!! :D

How many weeks are you now? I'll be 12+1 at mine.

Can you post some pics afterwards? :D

You say your impatient, mine is on a saturday at 3:20pm!

On my letter it says that im not required to have a full bladder, does tis mean there's a chance the dildo scanner will be used? :(

    They make me uncomfortable :rotfl:

    Oh and morning everyone!
