    Thank you princess:-)

Ive just posted my old leather sofa on there its such a shame it being sat in the garage it cost a bomb when we bought it someone might as well get some use out of it :-)

Good luck hopefully it will get a nice new home :j

I actually got half the stuff for my house from freecycle when i moved back to essex from manchester i actually left all my stuff behind and then went back to get it a month later :rotfl: by the time i went up to get my stuff i had replaced the majority of furniture and pretty much had a full house full of stuff when it came to bringing my stuff down here i had no room for everything and half of that went on to freecycle too :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Let me know if you find a lightweight dressing gown anywhere - all I can find is think towelling robes!

got mine in Bon Marche, lovely lightweight one. not fleecey or towelling either so ideal for hospital. though i never used it when i was in last week! lol!!

Well, you can now actually see the floor in nursery :j
My canvas storage things fit perfectly in the wardrobe so later on I will put the baby clothes away.

did they still have some in poundland or are they others??

    hope Jillie is OK
i'm fine, have a bit more to add to my prev post

did have a bit of a panic attack at hospital with Dr. said that no-one was talking to me about my labour or pain relief options and i felt a bit in limbo. as i never see the same Dr i find it hard to discuss things with them. then the Dr I did have said 'i'm new to gynae matters' ( like thats who i wanted to see!!!) she couldnt even find the HB with the listening device and the MW had to take it from her to find HB. luckily baby kicked really strongly just as mw was taking over. was not happy at all leaving there yesterday. Drs that came upto the antnatal ward were fab, explained everything, any questions etc... i wish i could see one of them. when i came home and read my notes she has that baby is engaged, but she made no mention of this when she examined me apart from saying 'baby is quite far down'

have made appointment for tomorrow with my MW (who is lovely) and am gonna talk everything through with her. if i keep working myself up bout it all i'm gonna end up in hospital for the rest of my pregnancy and that is something that i dont want.

have also had 2 slight panic attacks since then and i'm really scared now something will happen me... have started a letter in my head for hubby ( you know the type- if you are reading this its because...) hubby knows i'm scared but i havent told him bout the letter thing.

dont mean to mess with anyones's head or bring the thread down but i needed to tell someone...

I hope you get all the info you need tomorrow to put your mind at rest. and dont forget you can ask us on here our opinion to dr's we are not but plenty of us have done it before and can advise on our experiences :-) xx

Thanks Glam... im in tears now our accounts lady has just said thats how everyone one does it all 6 weeks in one months pay, so i get 2 weeks pay £200ish for November... making out she is doing me a favour giving all 6 weeks in October.. grrr she said thats how i was paid.. her children are 19!!

I do payroll here but it's quite a small company so we don't do much SMP and we definitely pay people as normal and not advance / bulk pay SMP. We only get statutory maternity pay too (well a little bit more depending on length of service but the most is only 100% pay instead of the 90% pay on the first 6 weeks ) so I really really empathise with your frustrations as I am panicking about money too. Am going to go on the Inland Revenue employers site and see what I can find for you. Hugs.

    thanks xmas...
i scared myself stupid a few months agp by googling and i wish i never had.
i know i am high risk of complications. but to only have ended up in hospital at 34/35 weeks is fantastic. and this is what all the dr's have said. i just get myself all worked up about it. which is not good as then my BP goes up and i end up in hospital
i'm glad you have had the 'what if conversation' we have touched on it briefly but nothing properly

GISI that's a nice dressing gown. I have a lightweight cotton one from M&S in green and lemon but it's about 2 years old now. They may have something similar but not aure about cost as my mum bought it for me when I moved to Spain as I needed somehting light.

on the pay front- i was under the impression its all paid the way you usualy are paid. so to give you 6 weeks pay in one go is wrong as you would only ever get a months'fortnight/weekly salary. Glam had a fab link that is meant for employers (we can use it) that worked out exatcly how much you get and when. and you need to get payroll to look at it.

scrolling right the way almost to the under the sub heading Paying SMP bottom lies this line and sub sub heading Lump Sums:

"...you can pay your employee their SMP in a lump sum, but we do not recommend it..."

In fact, the opening line on Paying SMP says "SMP is a weekly payment. It should be paid on the employee's next usual pay day".

I really really hope that helps you - or someone else - nancmat.
