SJ i think we need to see this bump
I had no sign of a bump at 15 weeks! It's only just becoming obvious now at 24, but cos i'm a bit chubby i think i'm still at a stage where strangers might not risk asking me just in case it's fat LOL. My friend said it deffo looks like a bump but she would!
With you on that one bennie still shocked when people notice i am pregnant even though i noticed i could not see my feet if i stood a certain way this morning and i am getting wider and wider everyday..
Feel like i have pmt today I go from wanting to cry for no reason or hitting someone.Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0 -
Oops was meant to ring hospital at 10 for GTT results lol, totally forgot.

Kindof - I started taking weekly pics just to see how much bump had grown but soon fell out of the habit!
Now I take them every couple of weeks or so.

Glam- I'm liking this one and it's a good price. I do have a pink one which I may attempt to dye if I'm feeling brave enough. Don't feel bad for directing your OH- you need to rest before you are rushed off your feet in a couple of weeks!
Found this on Direct Gov
When you can start your leave
You can start your leave any time from 11 weeks before the beginning of the week when your baby's due. If you're off work because of your pregnancy in the four weeks before the expected birth date, your employer can make you start your maternity leave.
Looks like I'm safe as I'm starting ML four weeks before EDD anyway (and AL two weeks before that).
Yay Beenie. Fab news of GTT!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Thanks Glam... im in tears now our accounts lady has just said thats how everyone one does it all 6 weeks in one months pay, so i get 2 weeks pay £200ish for November... making out she is doing me a favour giving all 6 weeks in October.. grrr she said thats how i was paid.. her children are 19!!Received £2,626.00 in PPI -2013:j
Received £1400 charges - 2006:j0 -
nancmat that's pretty rubbish. I'm not sure what the rules are about when they should pay you but I can say for definite that that is NOT how EVERYONE does it - it's not how it happens here.
Like Glam said earlier, make sure you are taxed correctly on it all.0 -
Let me know if you find a lightweight dressing gown anywhere - all I can find is think towelling robes!
Me too! Have looked everywhere. Thinnest ones were in Primark, but still fleecy and white! And i am thinking that the hospital will be just too hot for fleece.
Right, am now thinking about this after pain bit. This is my second baby and i am told that they can be quite bad adn i'm a wimp. Don't remember having any with my first, but not sure if that was due to already being given pain relief, due to C-section. Can any one who had a sC-Section with their second child please advise if they got these quite bad. I am thinking i may need to get some co-codamol in for when i get home.
Will also ask on the parent thread. Thanks0 -

36 weeks today :T:j
Not seen harley much recently and hope Jillie is OK
Sorry Glam, been keeping up but not had much to say for myself for a change.
However, now I have.
Went to midwife yesterday and all ok but she thinks baby is breech. Off to get growth scan and see consultant this afternoon so will find out for sure. The little toerag has been head down for weeks so why she has decided to turn around now is anyones guess. I gave her a stern talking to yesterday and last night she kept me awake moving around loads, quite painfully too, but this morning she still seems to be in pretty much the same position.
I'll let you know what they say when I come back.
I have a lightweight dressing gown from Tesco, its black with pink and black spotted edging and tie waist. It's a couple of years old now but I'm sure I saw something similar recently.
I cant remember now who was asking but I had a health visitor visit yesterday. Just wanted to introduce herself and bring me a load of leafleys to read about immunisation, support groups, baby massage and that sort of thing. She was really lovely but did say that bump looked like it had dropped and laughed when I said she was not due for 4 weeks. I'm now very glad I am finishing next friday, just wish it was a bit sooner.
BTW, congrats to CB - name and piccys please when you have a moment, and huge congrats and welcome to newbies. Loving Tigs baby thread, he is such a little cracker, can't believe his tiny little legs. Takes me back to when Rhys was born. Loved keeping up with how he and Elle were doing.
Anyway, going to sort myself out for scan, will report back later as to what the little lady is up to. Keep your fingers crossed she is not as big as they said last time please ladies.
