Aww that's really sweet, how old is your god daughter?
I keep thinking about the miracle inside me too - "oh my god, there's a baby in my belly" is my favourite phrase at the moment!0 -
EA - it won't help with the flies you have now but for future why don't you look at getting one of those electrified tennis racket type fly swats. They really work and provide hours of fun for all the family. (well, families as sick as mine anyway, lol)
xxx
Ha ha and mine, my mum has one and she's got my dad with it when he's not looking a couple of times - he doesn't see the funny side though but she almost wets herself laughing!0 -
Hahahah! Well i love getting them with fly spray!!! So maybe the electric racket will be fun, and could be classed as exercise to!
OH is home from work now, he's drowned most of them in spray bleach and we think that something may have died in one of the pipes casuing the blockage and the stupid amount of flys. He's currently cleaning the cat litter tray.
I bought the cakes in the living room to cool down where i can see them and attack any flys that get near them lol.
Also, my company dont do there own sick pay, when i was off sick after having the mc and the op they tried to get out of paying me sick pay lol. But i had a real docs note that time. This time it will only be a self filled in form.
And i only do 4 days a week
Ah well dad is lending me £50x

I was doing a one to one with someone at work today and baby just started going crazy, poking his feet in my ribs and I could not concentrate. I started grinning and had to share the joke! I just suddenly thought, 'oh yeah, I'm pregnant'!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
She is 9 and a bit months. And a gorgeous little girly. All smiles for auntie harley today too. She is the one who has kindly been donating just about everything she no longer needs for the baby.
Baby won't be in my belly for much longer, and I so can't wait for first cuddle. I have another growth scan on Tuesday so hopefully they will confirm that she is not as big as they said last time and that I will be able to have her naturally. That's naturally with as many drugs as I can pry out of them.
Hope I won't get the midwife who denied me to opportunity to have baby with general anaesthetic, she didn't have much of a sense of humour, lol

Harley- can I ask when you were off sick did you have to self certify for the first week or did the Dr sign you off straight away? Hope you don't mind me asking, but you were the person I thought of who's been signed off sick recently. TIA x x:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Not at all GISI.
I self certed for the first week then the doctors note covered me for the 2nd week.
It was the midwifes suggestion that I go off but she couldn't sign me off and said to self cert the first week then see the doc the following monday. I phoned up and he called straight back to say to go in and pick up the sicknote. I guess they had been talking about me and decided I needed the two weeks but he didn't see me at all in that time.

Thanks for that. Just wondering whether I'll have to self-cert or can be signed straight off. Not that it makes much difference really- I just have no idea how these things work.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Glam, Ive copied and pasted my post from Wednesday...this is what has happened.....
1. Came back from Florida in June with badly swollen ankles, saw nurse-she sent me for d-dimer blood test to rule out DVT.
2. 2 days later, recieve letter in post telling me to contact the surgery asap as my blood test showed me as d-dimer positive! Panic panic!!
3. In the end,was sent to hospital to be checked out fully and rule out a DVT, which luckily was ruled out,I was fine. But it emerged that the blood test I had done was totally pointless as pregnant women will always test positive for di-dimer wether they have DVT or not! So all that worry for nothing.
4. 2 weeks later, recieved another letter from doctors saying that on further inspection of my blood test they would like me to make appointment with a GP to disscuss it. Appointment made.
5. I went to appointment and when I walked in and told the doc I'd been asked to make the appointment to discuss my blood test results he said he didn't know why cos my bloods were fine so I'd had a wasted trip!!
6. 28weeks routine blood test by midwife done- got phonecall few days later from docs saying that results showed I need iron tablets so could I collect perscription and also they'd like me to have another blood test to check other iron levels.
7. I go to collect perscription for iron tablets- no perscription exists and no record of them phoning me to say I needed them!! Im really !!!!ed off now. Receptionist makes me appointment with nurse to see whats going on.
So..went to see the nurse today and it turns out the doctor who turned me away telling me my bloods were ok was WRONG,I was low on iron back then and theyve been falling since. All this time (since June!!!) Ive been feeling really tired and had no energy and finding breathing hard cos of that doctor!!
Ive had a shot of B12 to try boost me up quickly and she perscribed me enough iron tablets to see me through the rest of my pregnancy. Feel like making a complaint. Ive had time off work cos Ive been so knackered to do my job properly but it could have been avoided. The doctor who sent me away telling me there was nothing wrong knew I was pregnant (he asked) and if he had looked into my past medical history on the computer he would have seen I have a history of aneamia. Ive had to have b12 injections previously when I wasn't even pregnant! Turns out, after talking to a friend about this..I'm not the only one who has issues with this particular doctor.love my little man he is amazing :j0 -
Right, i just got on my hands and knees and dismantled our dishwasher and hopefully unblocked it
OH said its amazing how i got on and done it so i wouldn't have to wash up by hand anymore lol.
Also Sarah (or anyone really) - What can i use to pipe the buttercream icing onto my cakes? I dont have any baking paper and i forgot to get some lol.
So is there anything that i could use that i may have around the house?
Like printer paper? haha
