And just think if you had replied to his email tuesday sayin your were slightly deaf so couldnt ring or you wold get a family member to ring or you emailed with a time and place you could have had your item four days ago!

Whats your user name so i can block you....
ive never come across someone who can make such a simple transaction seem like the hardest thing in life!

i cant beleive all of that was other 1 phone call and 1 ebay item ... crazy

I don't wish to be unkind if you have issues around either reading writing or comprehension, but did you not read the post where Jacks' husband rang the guy and the guy refused to deal with him?

I think you must mean you would like to block the seller since it was his actions that caused the problems.

I expect Jacks will be only too happy to give you the seller's eBay name if you like. I expect he'll absolutely love you! You don't seem to have any self preservation instincts and you will be only to happy to do whatever he commands for no other reason than he says so. Sound like your type?

    I got that impression too.

There seem to be some very unpleasant people on this forum at the moment.

No, there just happen to be people who disagree and, correct me if I'm wrong, this is a forum for discussion....which Jacks actually invited.

People who have disagreed have actually been quite polite, it's those who've taken such an adamently supportive position that have used emotive and vitriolic language.

Conversly, can we have your Ebay name so that we never have the misfortune to end up dealing with someone as censorious and unfeeling as yourself?

About 85% of what i buy and sell are collection only items due to the size etc and the nature of what we sell. I have 100% feedback over the 7 years ive been registered. 99% of the buyers or sellers who has either emailed me there number asking me to ring them for collection arrangements or asked me to contact them via phone. Only one did i do by ebay messaging, i drove 100 miles to collect at the agreed time and she wasnt in.

Its much quicker, saves all the twoing and throwing of emails to try and make a suitable time and meaning that i have to check my ebay on an hourly basis to check for a response and it takes about 5 mins.

ive not had one problem with using a phone call. i can understand that if your hard of hearing or deaf that you wouldnt want to ring and i think the best way to handle that is to let the seller know int he first email that you have hearing problems and therefore wont be able to ring. Then the seller (or buyer ifyour selling iguess) will know.

I dont see what her being stalked had to do with anything, its totally irrelavant to the thread, the reason she didnt ring was cause she was hard of hearing but failed to mention this until people kept telling her to just ring and said it causes she thought the seller was abroad. Had she have told the seller and us this im sure it would have made the thread and the sellers life easier.
The stalker thing was irrelavant because not everyone is a stalker and a seller askin you to ring them and giving you their number not repeadtly asking for yours doesnt make them in any way a stalker.

No the seller didnt cause the problems, the seller made 1 very simply request that Jacks was unable to do and wouldnt tell us or the seller why! which makes life hard and makes helpin someone hard, had she have been honest then everyone would have been able to be more helpful cause they would know the full story not one about call costs.

We only have jacks side of the story dont forget. I did read the bit about the husband but i do have to say it seems a bit far fetched i cant see why the seller wouldnt speak to him unless its because he didnt know who it was calling him.

Completely agree with above statement, the forum is for discussion adn when people dont give the truth on the reasons why they wont do something it makes things very difficult.

maybe if jacks had been honest about her reasons for not ringing we could have iven more helpful advice!

a lesson for jacks i think

i actually take great offense to this am i severally dislexi and a comment like this is not at all helpful and very rude.
  • My girls and I are all very glad to hear that this matter has been concluded safely. Full marks to your Dad for taking things in hand.
I am still struggling to be amused or perplexed by rather than angry with those people continuing to blame you rather than lay the responsibility at the feet of the person who was actually at fault but my daughters say I will get used to that and people are wrong on the internet a worrying amount of time.

I think Jacks caused a big misunderstand between herself and the seller by missing out a very important fact (which she also failed to tell us) that she was deaf and therefore couldnt ring.

I dont think anyone is really to blame, i just think it shows tht being honest and upfront about something really does help.

    What the ****?

You've written a number of posts in perfectly acceptable, reasonably spelt and capitalised English and now you suddenly post the above claiming to be dyslexic.

Did this condition come on very suddenly?
