    I'm with PirateFairy.

A denim skirt can be a classic wardrobe staple and if it fits and you're fond of it I think it would be a shame to put it on eBay and risk it selling for less than a quid.

Try it with knee-high leather biker boots, a funky studded belt and a tie-neck blouse as smart but casual wear or unbutton the last couple of buttons and wear over black footless tights and ballet flats with a slim fitting black top, some pretty beads and bangles and thread a scarf through the waistband.

I've currently got 25 things on my eBay watch list. Argh!! Does anyone else get really annoyed with people who put massive bids in really early on? If they just waited 'til the last day, the auction would be much cheaper!

My secret weapon for eBay wins is the sniping tool. I use Goofbay (but other free sniping sites are available!) If find something I like I log into Goofbay, enter my maximum bid amount and the site submits the bid on my behalf 5 seconds (or less, if you wish) before the auction closes. I don't bother checking how the auction is going and get an email to let me know whether or not I've won - it saves getting into a bidding war and getting carried away paying more than you wanted to.

I've started using one of those too.

However it doesn't stop people from paying too much for things!! I was looking for Ugg boots for dd today, and some of the Next ones are the same price (or more!!) as the new ones once you add in postage. Ridiculous! If it's not a bargain, I'll got without. Although I'm watching a lovely pair of Faith boots that end tomorrow and really neeeeed those :D!!

I picked up some amazing bargains in Primark today, which helped a little (am I really that shallow?!)
it distracted me for a while,
and being the sad pet owner that I am, I paid for a cremation for the guinea pig :o

Its not shallow its simple, doing something that makes you happy makes you feel, well...happier, if you want to get technical there is a science bit about expectation and endorphins that I'm sure you know anyway, so forget shallow;)

Daisybella, I had a rough day yesterday but nothing as sad as yours and I treated myself to a few new bras and a pair of jeans today (Tesco sale) and it really has perked me up so if it works for you then why not??

I think it's lovely that you are giving your guinea a good send off, pets are a much loved part of the family, my cats are my babies too.

My mum did a cremation in the garden for my first two hamsters, and when my first cat was run over she was cremated too.

What did you get in Primark?

    You're right there, Glowgirl!
We had a burial for our elderly cat, Albert - he's buried in the garden with a lovely shrub flourishing nearby.
