Sorry to hear about your pets, Daisybella and Lostinrates - big hugs to you both. The top sounds very pretty Vicki, as it's quite full and floaty I reckon skinny jeans would look lovely with it.

Welcome to the fashion thread Glowie2k2. :hello:
It's quite a bright but chilly morning here, Jacob (our tortoise) came in last night - he usually spends all his time in the garden but the risk of frost was too great last night so methinks it's nearly hibernation time which can only mean that winter's on the way (yuk).

Just checking in, been car booting this morning and there's a jumble sale on at 2pm which leaves me enough time for a bite to eat and a bit of eBay parcel wrapping. Talking of eBay purchases I managed to win 12 Victorian church chairs last night for £3.24 and BF's just snaffled himself a beautiful green 1968 Beetle to go with our three VW campers! I love a bargain!!

    Today's outfit:
Satin shift dress in gold with funky ethnic print (Sample stall £2)
    Denim leggings (Sample stall £3)
Vintage cowboy boots (Car boot 50p)
Stacks of wood and brass bangles and two big chunky wooden rings (Car boots)
Wooden disc earrings (99p Chinese shop)
1960's emerald green wool jacket with satin buttons and elbow length sleeves (Jumble sale 20p) with a huge green plastic vintage brooch (30p car boot) to hide the moth hole at the front
Vintage tooled leather cartridge bag (Charity shop £1)

Have a lovely thursday, nearly the weekend now!

:grouphug: to LiR and Daisybella - so sorry about your pets. I had my beloved spaniel put to sleep in January due to illness. It's horrible!

Goanmad - I think you must be the ebay/carboot queen!!! Oh and I want your wardrobe lol.

In work all day today. It only happens twice a week now that dd is at playschool and I've swapped my hours around, but it makes those two days feel very long!!!

    Today I'm wearing:
grey high waisted pencil skirt - Primarni £13
black lace vest - ancient no idea
magenta little cardie - New Look £7 in sale
    black opaques
    black mary janes - DP's sale £15
silver bracelets and necklace - varied!!

I've also dug out a lovely purple slouchy leather handbag. I think it's a Top Shop one. Forgot how lovely it is .

I've done something very stupid I think!!! I can't find my flat black leather riding boots, and I have a horrid feeling I've thrown them out when having a mega sort out :eek:. Now trying to buy some on ebay..........

I've currently got 25 things on my eBay watch list. Argh!! Does anyone else get really annoyed with people who put massive bids in really early on? If they just waited 'til the last day, the auction would be much cheaper!

Sorry to hear about the poor pets. I had guinea pigs when I was growing up and they're so sociable and friendly, like little dogs! :)

I totally agree with you about ebay! It drives me barmy and the prices up...... Not an intelligent thing to do!

    :)

Gah. Soooo annoying!! Watched some boots the other day, they already have 12 bids on and are on £36, with 8 DAYs to go!! :( Not the bargain I was hoping for :( But none of the things I'm selling ever seem to go like that :(

I have just managed to win my dd a pair of Ugg style boots for a bargain price :D. She's outgrown hers and is desperate for some. Sandals or boots my daughter lol.

I find handbags go quite well. Also my dd's Clarks/Startrite shoes, but not much else. I have a buggy to sell which dh seems to think we're going to get most of our money back on.......

Talking of ebay reminds me I need your advice please!

I have a long straight denim skirt with buttons up the front. Shall I keep it or ebay/charity it?? If I keep it, what can I wear with it??

I used to wear it, but outgrew it but now it fits again after losing weight!!

    Thank you.

claire, if you feel comfortable in it, and know what to team it with, you'll wear it. have you got something to go with it?

What about a plain top and accessorising it with a scarf and some bracelets..think primark..

boots for winter - ugg style for casual, or could you dress it up for work wear with a smart blouse and shoes?
