Hey all! What a gorgeous morning, sunny and warm and I've just won a huge antique Indian rug (11 foot by 9foot) on eBay...yipee!!!!
I have that fuschia pink Barry M nail varnish too (but have changed to a gothic-y OPI this week). Barry M was huge in the 1980's, but it used to be quite expensive. I was amazed to see the price hadn't really changed since I wore it as a teenager.
Been swimming today and for a look around the market. The guy who sells clothing samples is getting rid of his stock 'cos he's a lightweight trader that doesn't do the market during the winter. I've got 5 jumpers, a kaftan, an assymmetric top, a pair hareem pants and 2 pairs of jeans for £15!
Today's outfit:
TopShop Baxter grey skinny jeans (£1 Car boot)
Knee high "Bardot" taupe stack heel boots (TopShop sale £20)
Silk ethnic print sleeveless tunic with wooden beaded bodice (£1 car boot)
Wooden rings and a selection of brass and wood bangles (car boot)
Beaten brass earrings (Women's Collective, India)
AbsoluteBounder's right about some charities, always donate to recognised ones and look very closely at the collection bags you get through the letterbox and the clothing banks you see at supermarkets. Living in a supposedly "affluent" area we get at least 2 bags a week but most are recycling companies who offer only a small percentage to the charity they claim to collect for.
Have a lovely tuesday, guys and gals! xxxxx0 -

One of my vices, though. I've got so many little pots of the stuff! My latest colours are bright purple and chocolate brown.
You are bad people on here, I can feel a trip to Boots coming on to stock up on new nail varnish :rotfl:
I love the sort of minty green glittery Barry M nail varnish, despite it being an absolute pain in the bum to get off!0 -

Haven't tried barry M myself, but have got a huge box f nail varnish. Have only just started wearing it again after a year or so of not bothering. Liking this pink more by the hour, it's like a really bright highlighter colour, but I think it looks ok as it's my only splash of colour today..Going out for tea with my mum this evening, so will find a way of dressing it up for an outfit there!0

Hi ladies!
I hope you're all having a good day, sounds like you all look gorgeous.
I'm slightly stressed today as we're having a new boiler fitted in a couple of weeks. It means 5 days of chaos as they're also changing the pipework and moving a radiator. The boiler is in our bedroom so they're going to be pulling all the laminate flooring up too. The very worst thing is that we're going to be without hot water for 3 days:eek:!!! I'm absolutely dreading it........... We're renting, so it's not even our choice, although it'll be lovely to have a new boiler.
Anyway, today I'm wearing:
Light purple (not lilac though) short sleeved jumper with a skinny belt - Primark £6
Black tulip skirt - Primark £10
Black opaque tights - M&S
Black mary janes - DP sale £15
Long black cardie - M&S £25
Long black bead necklace - Next
Several bead bracelets - Primark £2
I'm afraid I'm not really in to nail varnish now, my nails are such a mess from work (engineering) and house work that I tend not to bother. I do remember Barry M from the 80's too!!0 -

My finger nails are usually unvanished, (I too find hands hard to maintain these days) but jolly toes really lift the spirits0 -

Yep, I'm with you there! I never paint my fingernails, it detracts from my rings but love peeking at my painted toenails it makes me smile.0 -

I thought you were all talking hands!!
My toes are the brightest red at the moment. Courtesy of some freebies from my sister.
I'll do fingers if I'm going away or for a night out, but really, I have learned one thing about fingernails, they will resist all sorts of abuse while mucking out, gardening, cooking, grooming animals, yet as soon as you put a coat of colourful varnish they will instantly get broken/torn and look awful:D Last time we went away I did my nails and made DH do the horses etc alone before we went:D0 -

Totally agree, mine are ok for about a day in the office before they look tatty, they won't last a weekend day at all!! So I only paint them if I have the time to let them dry properly the evening before, and know I don't have any cooking etc to do which will ruin them before the next day lol./.0
