Afternoon all! It's quite sunny and blustery here today - just went for a stroll on my lunch, it's so nice to get out of the stuffy office!
Girls with nicotine yellow nails - I feel your pain! Although they always warn us to use a base coat under coloured polish, so we only have ourselves to blame! I actually sold that particular yellow at the car boot I did a few weeks ago... should've warned the buyer really!:o
Anyway, here's today's:
Dark denim skinny jeans
Ditsy pink and green floral print shirt (£4, Laura Ashley via eBay)
Black leather jacket (£50, Steven Madden via TK Maxx)
Green Mary Jane heels
Huge chunky silver studded wooden bracelet (which I've just taken off because I can't type with it on!)
Mint green moulded flower earrings (£4, Accessorize years ago)
Vintage green and silver cotton scarf
Just booked in for a haircut on Saturday! My hair grows at an alarming rate now it's short!0 -
Afternoon everyone!
Bit grey and dreary here in work, so after a very busy morning today's outfit is:
- Red V neck dress with print of white umbrellas (New Look)
- White vest top underneath dress (Zara)
- Black tights (M&S)
- Black Mary Janes (M&S)
- Brown leather handbag
- Usual jewellery
- Electric blue trench coat (New Look) to come into work
Make-up and polish are the same as yesterday - I know I know! I normally change my nail polish once a week so will probably do that tomorrow or Sunday.

Afternoon..Jolly mood all round at work today, one of the ppl is retiring today so we've all been to the pub
Wearing a strapless prom dress from Dotty P's, cream with large pink flowers on, and black tights and cardi, as the pink nails are, amazingly, still going strong!!0 -
Hello!

Orange spotted top with huge floaty sleeves (£12 Per Una sale)
Mulberry Mary Janes (£25 Clarks sale)
Prada specs cos I've been on the computer all day (£140 half price in Boots)
Debating whether to go to yoga, swimming or yoga and swimming! And after reading everyone's post on the last couple of pages, I really want to paint my fingernails now too! Hope everyone had a good day0 -
fairly_good I love the sound of your outfit!
Guinea pig update- the little dude passed in the night. he got worse yesterday and the vet came out to us as she was in the area. confirmed old age, not illness and that it was down to him. Lots of hourly syringe feeds, but he got worse and went peacefully. I was distraught last night as I hated seeing him so pathetically helpless, today I'm more peaceful. I'd had that little ball of fluff since I was 15!
Anyway,
up early due to animal checking, and my Mum is taking me shopping today as distraction. Actually, I shopped a little yesterday tooa shop by college had an amazing selection of books and I got six for £2 each!
Er, ok outfit:
skinny jeans, faded blue: Next (Mum's)
long navy and white striped 3/4 sleeve top: £8 A-wear
grey boyfriend blazer: £20 newlook
nautical vintage scarf: £2 ebay
black studded ankle boots: ?? can't remember!
Have a great day all! I'm off to shop away the sad0 -

It's a fast spiral into addiction and nicotine yellow stained nails! Remember that base coat! :rotfl:
I also came into work early this morning, a big job's going out today so we're all working furiously to get it finished. I've done my bit now, so here's a sneaky post before the working day begins!
Today I'm wearing:
Dark denim high waisted pencil skirt (£15, H&M years ago)
Black and white striped vest with flamingo motif (£8, Matalan)
Cherry red tights (£4, M&S)
Navy blue cardi
Black patent skinny belt
Black patent pumps with gold detail
Gold nameplate necklace
Gold disc earrings
Red plastic heart-shaped brooch that says 'I love me'
Happy Thursday!0 -
Aw daisybella, I'm sorry to hear about your guinea pig.
At least he wasn't in pain I suppose.
I'm back in work today and feeling considerably less sore, I think it must be true that the more exercise you do the more your muscles get used to it. Work looks to be mad busy if quite exciting today - I'm taking part in a crisis management training exercise this afternoon which should be good. As I expect this will involve lots of running about, today's outfit is:
- Pale pink jumper (Topshop via sister)
- Black flower corsage pinned to left side of jumper (Topshop)
- Grey pinstripe wide leg trousers (Zara)
- Black Mary Janes (M&S)
- Electric blue trench coat (New Look) to come into work
- Brown leather handbag
- Usual jewellery
In work until around half five today, then home to job hunt and possibly tidy my room. I go in fits and starts with my room - I can leave it messy for ages and then suddenly get the urge to do a major tidying blitz!

I thought I was going to have to wait in all morning for a delivery but it turned up before 10!!
The postman has also been surprisingly early and brought me a top I won on ebay. It's a dusky pink batwing, lace trimed top and sort of falls in pleats from the neckline, with a gathered bottom so it sort of puffs out. I love it, it's very beautiful but if I'm honest it was a sort of "that is lovely I want it" purchase rather than a sensible would I wear it descision.
So I dont think it looks good with leggings or skinnys as it's too short, maybe bootcut jeans? I don't think it goes with a skirt, anyone got a similar shaped top? what woud you wear with it?
Today's outfit is:
black skinny jeans (River Island - bought for a work night out the day before I found out I was pregnant and hardly worn)
grey slouchy boots - Teso
black lacey vest top - had for years
teal button up slouchy tunic with big buttons - Tesco
I'm wearing wedding rings
silver charm bracelet - wedding present from DH with charms added for special events!
brown and silver charm bracelet - bought on holiday in Egypt
long gold and pearl multi stranded necklace - debenhams several years ago.
Teal and white floral bead earrings handmade by a lovely friend
Feeling gorgeous and looking forward to a Mystery shop later in a Pizza restaurant.
Have a good day everyone xx0 -
I thought I might join in on this thread as for once I feel like I am wearing something that I can talk about lol!:rotfl:
So today's outfit is:
Long Sleeve cotton top with grey leaf pattern (Primark £4)
Black Combats (Debenhams £10 treat I love my combats as they fit really nicely and look good!)
White Trainers with purple flower pattern (£10 Diechman)
No "bling" apart from a pair of glass heart earrings as I am helping to set up the work do tonight! Can't wait for that!!:D
Have a good thursday everyone and I will try and stop lurking now lol!:D
xxx:DIf I am laughing, then I don't understand!!
