  • I have quite a reputation at work for wearing a different nail varnish every week! I love wearing colour on my nails, I love seeing them flash as I type! Although, a few months ago I used a neon yellow colour from Barry M without a base coat and it stained my nails an awful nicotine yellow! The ring and little finger nails are still stained on both hands so I'm giving them a rest at the moment. I paint them for going out but just wear clear (whitening!) polish during the day.

My workmates are most disappointed! :)

Argh, I now want to paint my nails....might do tomorrow,
depends if I'm still constantly hand feeding/syringing water in to elderly guinea pig :(
  • Talking of nails. Im right handed so therefore use that hand more but the nails always break on the left hand. I wouldve thought i would be breaking the nails on the righthand. And its always the same first two fingers that i break my nails on, on the left hand. Thought ide share that

It might be that the less dextrous hand is more likely to get knowched, as by defiition is ''clumsier'' or that the jobs you give your left hand leave it more vulnerbe to getting knocked.:)
  • Grammargirl ... what u have typed sounds spot on just like me. I too paint my nails a different colour each week and I too used the Barry M yellow nail varnish ... (BIG MISTAKE), I keep calling them Nicotine yellow too. When I just read your post I thought I had typed it! lol. I am going bare at the moment with my nails but painting for nights out only - I vow never to wear that vile yellow nail varnish again. Talking about my nails now is making me want to paint them. Anyway just had to share this and anyone thinking about using a BARRY M yellow nailvarnish think again unless you want permanently stained nails.

Any news on the Guinea pig, DaisyBella?

It's gloomy, damp and dull here today. I'm in casual gear ready for my Pilates class and have been frantically eBaying since 7am.
Looking forward to collecting my eBay bargain buy a little later - a beautiful 1930's antique Indian carpet bought for £30.:j

    Today's outfit:

Black leggings (gift from a pal)
Black TopShop long-line ribbed vest (Car boot £1)
Grey assymmetric vest with knee length bleach print panel (Sample stall £1)
Silver tribal bangles (just a couple so I'm not rattling) and rings (India)
Huge turquoise enamel disc earrings (Bay 60p)
Kurt Geiger grey sheepskin boots with Navajo-style embroidery (Brand new and unworn and a car boot bargain at £1.50)
Vintage Levi's denim jacket with sleeves hacked off (DIY job)

    Have a great day, guys!

I used that on my toenails - I looked like I'd been smoking with my feet! I'll not make that mistake again.

Just discovered one of my dad's favourite ever singers, Joan Baez, is on at the Sage in Gateshead, so thought I'd treat him to a ticket, but they're all sold out. Oh well, I'll just have to keep ringing them to see if they get any returns, although I'm not too hopeful.

Another early start for me today, so another fling on and go day.
    Jeans (Monsoon)
    White vest (M&S)
Blue slouchy big button 3/4 sleeve cardigan (M&S)
    grey Uggs (Schuh)
    70s enamel and wire choker

Goanmad, I want to go to carboot sales with you! All the ones round here seem to be overpriced tat or full of pirate dvds these days.

He won't take any food or water today, but after speaking to the vet, have decided not to take him in, just to leave him to go in peace as he's in no pain and not suffering.
It's so sad, but he's had a good long life.

Love the sound of your outfit,
and wow on your carpet find!
