Hi Goanmad, I just got back (work in the morning, can't be too late!) from Bingley Music Live 2009. Bingley is a town just near Bradford (although I'm sure you could guess that!) and the festival is held in a park just outside the town centre. I think it's the first year it's been on, and it was absolutely fab. A weekend ticket was £25 and we saw Futureheads, Doves, Editors, Calvin Harris, VV Brown, Ocean Colour Scene, loads of people. No camping but it's only 20 mins away on the train so really great for us. It rained a little bit but nothing my Primark raincoat and leopard print wellies couldn't handle! I've had a great weekend and I only have four days at work before I'm off for a week. Hurrah! :)

PS - I'm now wearing leggings, knee length socks, a white cotton tee and a long grey cardi. ;)

Fabulous bands at a bargain price! I bet you had a great time, not envious at all ;).

My arthritis is playing up this morning so I'm skivving off yoga and shall spend the day listing my eBay stuff.
    Today's outfit is:
Grey and black leopard print leggings (Kid's dept, new Look £1.50)
Denim button-thro' fitted mini dress (Sample sale £4)
Vintage white stretch belt with silver flame shaped buckle (Jumble sale)
TopShop long-line black angora cardi (Car boot 50p)
Silver tribal bangles and rings (India)
Vintage waist length silver pendant necklace with white enamel paisley (Raided from Mum's jewellery stash)
Antique mother-of-pearl earrings mounted in etched silver (inherited)

    Have a great day!

I am dying of cold and feel terrible, bah! I am in the mood for giant comfy clothes but have to be relatively smart today so have gone for:

    Black cords - Evans
    Black ankle boots - Evans
White empire line tunic top with black celtic style embroidery around the neckline - Dotty P's
Black cardi - it's too old for me to remember where it's from
Silver disc earrings with peacocks etched on them
    Silver bangles
Silver squared off ring - picked it up at a craft fair this weekend

lostinrates, if you haven't used the lippie you can swap it for another one, if you don't have the receipt tell them what happened and they will probably swap it anyway, if you have used it mix a small amount with vaseline or similar to make a lighter gloss, you could also try using it is a natural type glowy blusher so your are super co-ordinated hth, oh yeah, your dad has excellent make up taste;)Sorry about the undies:(

Oh it would cost as much to take it back, with petrol and parking. I'll keep it. A bonus is its making my teeth look whiter. :) I do think though, if any one else likes the advertising colour they should look at the shade lighter (which I think is called Rosewood) too. :)

vaseline tip is s great one. :) And yes the blusher too. Just when I thought I was over nars orgasm blusher I've realised I NEED the lipgloss and nail varnish :o. I think the blusher no longer suits me though :(
  • That's a bit rubbish about the undies lostinrates :( Still, glad to hear the lipstick is working out for you, and I like the idea of making it into a blusher.

I'm in work again today (and trying not to get stressed about this interview, which I wouldn't be if I wasn't having to muck about with trains so much), and today's outfit is:

    - Black three quarter sleeve jumper with black and white striped shirt insert (Next)
    - Black tie tucked into jumper (my old school tie but hiding the badge. I cut some of the stitching on the jumper to do it and it seems to be OK)
    - Charcoal grey wide leg trousers (French Connection via sister)
    - Black lace up men's style brogues (New Look)

In work til half five, mostly being spent looking at stuff for this job, then home to finish packing and make myself look pretty for the interview/holiday.

    Have a good day everyone!

    Hi everyone:)

Cleaning today and sorting out my house. it looks such a state and I cant stand housework:eek: dd went back to school today in a new uniform for the whole school, first time she's had a blazer, we both loved it, even though her skirt was hardly knee length;)

lostinrates, I was a Nars orgasm fan as well, I had the blusher (powder)and lipgloss, I returned the gloss cos it gave me dry lips but after 2 years the blusher is still going strong, I'm bored of it (not enough pigment and a bit too shiney) but my daughter uses it every day so no waste:)

    todays outfit is

    Baggy white shirt - next
tight boot cut jeans - iblues
    Ted Baker multicoloured boots

    white spy bag - fendi

I really fancy some new updated bags, there are a lot about but unfortunatly money has to go elsewhere first so I am entering comps like theres no tomorrow, there are loads of designer bag ones on the comps board atm if anyone is interested:)

Hope everyone has a good start to the week:)

exactly what I'm finding with it. My skin, hich used to be so good, just doesn't stand the sheen now. but the pinky gold colouring I adore and like on me. :)
  • Hello everyone. LIR, sorry to hear about the pants. I've done that before and could've kicked myself! Ggrrr!

    Here's today's:
Blue and white striped shirt (Thomas Pink, £25)
Skinny jeans (River Island via eBay, £7 - they're back on after a quick wash!)
    Brown cardi
Tan leather gladiators (haven't worn these for a while but the sun was out this morning... it's raining now but never mind!)
    Tan leather plaited waist belt
Chunky gold chain with peach ribbon (Vintage fair, £2)

Wanted to give my new cherry red tights an outing but it seemed too warm this morning. Maybe tomorrow, I have big plans for them! :)

    I'm so angry with myself.

I went and bought a new bra and knickers today, just from M and S. I've lost a little weight and need something just a cup size down. This timed well with buying some clothes for my dad, who is not a great shopper. So of dad, DH and I went, each one of us holding th bags at some point, and we've got home and my bra and knickers aren't there. I've phoned the shops I can remember going into afterwards (not many) and they are not there. I could cry. Stupid, eh?

What a shame about the undies, Lostinrates. Mum's friend purchased a new dress recently and had the carrier bag pinched from the cafe they were in. Unfortunately the receipt was in the bag, too and the scumbag who stole it managed to take the dress back and get a full refund.....grrrrr:mad:

lostinrates, what a shame about the undies! :( That's happened me before too, I'm sure you're mad!!! Something good is bound to happen to cancel it out. I'm totally with you on the dress thing, they are quicker and comfier than trews and a whole outfit in one! I love them. p.s. good luck with the new lippie. :D

I'm all colourful today in my red cardi (Primark, £6) and red, white and black Oasis dress (reduced from £60 to £5 in the sale last year, I love it to bits). I've even had a few compliments!!

Right, off to catch up with the rest of the thread, catch yiz later xo
