Been to the gym and for an eye test this morning and am shortly about to head off to get my hair cut before my interview and going to Istanbul.
You lucky girl! Have a fab time.
Thanks, Tara. Time to start hunting for flights to India, I think!0 -

THANK YOU GLOWGIRL!
I had the bath last night and a reapply and its much less streaky. So much so, I've just had another bath, and another reapply. I don't know if my eyes are getting used to it, or as you say the layering is the key, but the colour seems....better.
I have the oddest temptation to write something rude on my belly in tanning cream for dh to find later. But I won't.0 -

I might tomorrow.
I'm a bit worried because we're thinking about a spa day next week/week after, if he can get a day off, and I'm embarrassed enough in a swimsuit, but if I have some sort of treatment and I have a rude message written badly in fake tan on my, well, less than perfect bod, I might scare the aesthetician.:eek:0 -

I frgot to say what I'm wearing.
I'm wearing today what I call my wonderdress:o Its a grey knitted silk crossover from Monsoon. On the hanger it looks very insignificant, (I bought it in desperation because it was big enough when they had few larger sizes.) And yet, on it just makes me feel nything but frumpy. I used to where it to collect DH from the airport often, and I've never failed to be flirted with with it on. I've worn it to dressy lunches, and evening functions. I went back after the first night and bought it in a smaller size. It was one of the best things I've ever, ever bought. I can't remember how much it was though:o
With it I'm wearing some grey suede and metallic heels, my wedding ring and a white gold solitaire that rarely comes out and some opaque glass earings. My make up is a red lipgloss and a light dusting of navy eye shadow and lashings of mascara. My hair is, magically, just right today too. I've put dog-dogs smart pale blue lead and collar on (they other to dogs also have their best collars on).
Glamourously attired, I'm off to............
..pick DH up from the train station :rotfl::o0 -
Saturday 5th September
I'm trying to update my wardrobe with items I can mix and match to different outfits. Eg, I love wearing cardis as a throwover and like the 50s style button-up round-neck long sleeved ones and am looking for a black one to replace my battered old one, and a bright red one.
The closest red one I've found is here which isn't exactly what I was after but is still rather niceNot convinced the sale price isn't still too expensive - although have a free delivery code - so bookmarked it and going to scour ebay - again!
I'm also after some pretty 50s style tops, preferably NOT black and white, to wear with my black pencil skirt. I love that kind of glam curvy way of dressing, although not brave/silly enough (LOL) to wear heels with it as my back can't stand them for very long, so I'm also on the look out for bargainous flats that are quite dressy and go with black tights, or even some low-heeled shoes that would go well with that kinda look.
Anyone else wear anything similar?Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63
