Afternoon all.
It's absolutely wretched here, raining (don't think its stopped since yesterday), cold and grey.
Got the day off today and I'm just about to pop off the the Metrocentre. Currently wearing:
white ribbed vest (M&S £4)
long grey cardigan (M&S £29 I think)
black straight leg jeans (£5 New Look)
black Frye boots with straps - pirate-style-ish (can't remember how much but bought in sale)0 -
Afternoon folks,
We have some weird weather here, I've pegged loads of washing out but it keeps chucking it down and each time I go outside to collect it the sun comes back out....arghhhh!
Busy photographing and listing some vintage menswear for eBay whilst singing along (very badly) to a Smiths compilation CD, bliss!
Casual attire today:
Black cotton hareem pants with a grey linear print (50 rupees Indian street market)
Kate Moss @ TopShop yellow ribbed vest (Bought from the first collection 2 years ago)
Charcoal grey ribbed vest (TopShop years ago)
Black rubber flip flops (Indian street market)
Vintage hoop earrings with multicoloured wood beads (50p charity shop)
Silver tribal bangles and rings (India)
Nearly the weekend, now :beer:0 -
I had such plans for a lazy day today (lieu day off from work) and instead I've spent all day dashing about buying some new camping equipment (blowup bed died a slow death last time I camped), getting some stuff out of the storage locker and then going to the supermarket. It has not been at all relaxing, grr!!! Still, I'm looking forward to the weekend
Black jeans - Dotty P's
Pale green strappy vest top - George
Long line slouchy forest green jumper - Dotty P's
Black cowboy type boots - Evans
Gold and bronze vintage cuff - nicked from the fingertips of my mum who was attempting to put it in the charity shop box :rotfl:0 -
minerva, best of luck for the interview!! I love your outfit today too, for someone who was recently a student you dress better than I do! :rotfl:
Today I'm wearing a black v-neck top from Dotty P and a black and white smock top from Primark that I cut the straps off and wear as a skirt.I gave my OH such a laugh when he caught me doing it!
I got such a bargain today. Anyone remember those back cotton macs from Primark last year, they had some ruching around the shoulders and long sleeves and a belt? I loved them but they sold out super fast. They were £17 at the time, well today they were back in stock and reduced to £2 in our local Primark! I bought the last two size 8s so I'll have a spare! :rotfl: Bargain!

What a great bargain on the mac, Tara! I bought a beige cotton mac from Primark at the weekend, was very pleased with it as it's exactly the same as the Topshop one, but it was £22 rather than £65! £2 is a great price though, and a classic style like that will never date. Hurrah!
I like the idea of taking a picture but don't have time on a morning (am usually rushing round changing my shoes and putting on extra bangles at 7.50am!) and by the time I get home I'm bedraggled and crumpled! But if someone else goes first...0 -
I love the sound of the Macs, I want one too......is it worth travelling about 35 miles for......mmmmmm maybe not, Primark need a website for us out of town people;)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

glowgirl, do I remember you are a fake tan maestro? Help: very streaky legs, not too bad a colour, dark peach rather than orange!.....apply more or try and scrub off?
(everynow and again I try, and then remember this is the ''beauty'' thing I am most bad at! its a shame, my skin feels lovely as a result.)0 -
Hi lostinrates, its true I love my fake tan;)If you have streaky legs I would have a good hot shower or even better a long hot bath and use lots of conditioning shower gel, fake tan dosn't like hot water or anything with mositurisers or oil also have a good exfoliate, the best thing is the gloves, when you come out of the shower/bath give it half an hour or so and reapply over what is left, if you cant be bothered or don't have time for a shower reapply over what you have on already, in general 2 layers of product gives a better but not necessarily darker colour, just kind of richer/deeper. Top tip for streak free self tanning is to invest in a mit applicator from Boots (half price at the mo) Tesco etc also sell them:)
Hope thats of use, I could probably help more if I knew what product you had used and what type of skin you have, I could also recommend a product that wouldnt streak and probably be cheaper;)as you see I could go on and on............:rotfl:Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0
