  • Afternoon everyone!

I've been in a meeting all morning but have since come back to the pleasantly surprising news that I have an interview for a job next week!:j Which is a bit scary but exciting at the same time. And also quite nice after three months of nothing to think, "Yay, someone thinks I'm good enough to employ!"

    Anyways, today's outfit is:

    - Long sleeved scoop neck purple top (Dorothy Perkins)
    - Black pencil skirt (part of haul from sister)
    - Black kitten heel Mary Janes (New Look, starting to look a bit battered though so I think I may need some new ones!)

In work until half five, then home to do some more job applications. Because it never hurts to keep looking, right?

    Hi All.

Hope you had a lovely weekend, Tara and well done on the interview, Minerva! Mrs_Ryan - glad you had a good time, I've heard of the other two but no idea who Kieran Bracken is,I'll have to do a bit of Googling!

Just got back from the beautiful (but very wet) Wales and am wearing the same outfit as yesterday (with clean pants :o) as I packed some goodies from the local sweet centre in the same bag as my clothes and got gulab juman juice all over them.

Off to pack my eBay parcels and to do a pile of ironing ready for photographing tomorrow - have a nice afternoon/evening all!

    Hi folks!

Back from my hols. Valencia was fantastic and La Tomatina was totally insane! Haven't touched tomatoes since though. :rotfl:Nothing can prepare you for the smell of thousands of tonnes of ripe squashed tomatoes - it was atrocious! :rotfl:

Anyway, having a lazy day today and wearing cut off 501s (knee length), a vintage 70s Good Grief Rickenbacker Wrangler tshirt and a blister plaster, as I wore my Converse boots without socks yesterday and now my feet are in tatters.

Going to hang my new bedroom curtains in a bit. If I don't do it now they'll just sit in the bag until next week.

Good luck with the interviews Minerva and Alexnikov.

Mrs_Ryan, are you from the NE? I just noticed one of the shops you mentioned was in Newcastle, but not sure if you just shopped there on a visit.

Best of luck for the interview Minerva

I am currently in pjs and a blue and grey stripy hoody as it's chuffing freezing but for most of the day I've been in dark jeans, red canvas pumps, red long sleeved t shirt, green gilet (work clothing) and some rather cute little square red and white stripy earrings.
  • Hi all. Late update! Good luck with the interview Minerva (McGonagall?)! Hope you get the job.

I've been late night shopping after work and picked up everything I need for the festival I'm going to at the weekend. Woohoo! Kind of hope it rains so I can wear my new wellies and rain mac!

    Today's was:
Purple and white big floral print tunic (French Connection via eBay, £7)
    Black leggings
    Purple cardigan
Yellow suede belt over the top
Green pumps with bows (Topshop, £25)
Big heart-shaped black and gold cocktail ring
Black and white tiger print bangle

    I'm now wearing:
    Grey cashmere harem pants
    Black cotton t-shirt
    Black cardigan
    Slippers

    Happy Wednesday!
  • Hi everyone, I'm new, only just found this thread but it looks cool, I'm always sooo nosy about what other people wear.
    Today I wore:
Acid wash longline oversized vest (Topshop, from ebay) tucked into,
Blue wool mini skirt (Topshop, ebay again)
    Suede flat ankle boots (Topshop)
Black leather Jacket (Kate Moss at Topshop) Can you tell I like Topshop much? :D

Although looking back it wasn't such a great choice of outfit as there was torrential rain today (Cornwall) and so had to borrow an umbrella, I hate the rain I am not waterproof!

Also do you post any fashion bargains you've bought on here too? Hope everybody had a good, fashionable day!

Hello erichamster! Lovely to see a new contributor to the fashion thread. Your outfit sounds great! I'm trying to find a nice leather jacket at the moment, looking on eBay though as I don't want to pay more than £20! It's a tall order to say the least.

Lots of us post how much each piece of our outfits cost (if we can remember!) and we often discuss bargains! So if you've had any good ones recently, we'd love to hear about it. Looks like you're a fan of buying brands via eBay - me too! It's a great way to get high fashion from quality brands without paying loads.

    Here's mine for today:

    Dark skinny jeans (Gap, £40)
    Holy Shi-tzu grey t-shirt (Truffle Shuffle, £25)
Black blazer with turned up sleeves (American Apparel, £25)
    Big black cocktail ring
Black and white tiger print bangle
    Assorted skinny gold bangles
Black patent pumps with gold detail (bought these at the weekend to replace the brown ones I broke on Friday! Primark, £8)
Pink leopard print cotton scarf (River Island, £12? Long time ago)
Slick of black liner as I'm going for the rock chick look today!

    Happy Thursday!
  • Morning all!

Thank you for all your good wishes about the interview :) Just got to decide what to wear for it now!

Work again today (last day this week, whoo!) and my outfit is:

    - White scoop neck top with half length ruched sleeves (Dorothy Perkins with a bit of work from me after Gok Wan)
    - Pink and gold brocade look knee length tulip skirt (Dorothy Perkins)
    - Black Victorian/military style ankle boots with buttons (New Look)

In work until half five, then home to job hunt and do various things like washing (fun I know, but needs must...).

    Have a good day everyone!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hello People!

Today I'm wearing a black finely cocheted dress (bought at around £40 in a sale a couple of years ago, maybe three) and a borrowed black and purple felt cardigan. I've accesorised with my Versace sunglasses (I'm not a versace gal, but these were a nice gift) and will probably slip on my metallic and white ballets. These are now beginning to show some wear, so I'll be flat shoe shopping soon. I find it hard to find flat shoes I like, but needs must. Perhaps I'll get you guy to help me sorce some :). Or, and just wedding ring and some gold earings.

The bad news is the weather the good news is lovely autumn winter clothes are coming out of the back of the wardrobe. Which makes me realise that the MSE well turned out task will pretty soon be checking summer wardrobe over for any missed bits that need repair and then packing away. I don't know about anyone else but we seem to have LOADS of moths around :(

    Hi everyone:)

Fell like I'm in 'proper' clothes again, its a bit cold and windy where I am, todays outfit is

French Connection dark blue loose fitting jersey long sleeved top
    Baggy faded miss sixty jeans
    Ted Baker multicoloured boots

    White spy bag - Fendi

Just received a booklet with French Connections AW09 collection, its really gorgeous, loads of ideas, I find their sizing huge but fortunately I like baggy clothes, or maybe unfortunately for my purse;)
Thank you for this site Martin
