Goan that's fab news about your flights! Bet you're so relieved. You should ddefinitely wear the crochet dress it's beautiful (presuming you're talking about the one that is on your blog).

Hi Mariel - yes, that's the dress! Was a toss-up with that one or the velvet number I got at the Clothes show so I'll wear that one tomorrow night.
I bought stripey thermal leggings for a couple of my friends' who both feel the cold. They were on our local market for £3.50 a pair, the stall usually sells old lady wincyette jim-jams and nighties and these were "Toast" seconds (wish I'd got myself a pair now).

Have a lovely trip, Zara - hope you're on the mend now.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this thread but thought I'd post as, well, I love fashion (enough to be working towards making a career out of it)!

Sounds like everyone is wrapped up warm today - it's so cold out! I'm wearing:

    - Black fine knit jumper with sheer sleeves - £48 reduced from £60 in the sale from FCUK (but I won a £500 spending spree there so it was free!)
    - Dark blue bootcut jeans that I forgot about until my mum found them at the back of my wardrobe some time after I'd moved out - they're from DP, think I got them in a 2 for £20 deal
    - Brown studded ankle boots - bought in the Faith sale £30 down from £60 (a fantastic investment considering the snow outside, I'm usually in heels!)
    - Cream oversized cable knit beanie - £5 in Asda (the amount I wear it it will probably amount to 5p per wear at this rate!)
    - Fake pearl and gold chain multi strand necklace - £3 in Primark

    Outer wear:
    - Black leather retro style bag - £32 down from £60 in FCUK again bought with my win
    - Cream mac - Marks & Spencer, I got this free from work
    - Purple knitted scarf - no brand, again free from work
    - Grey fairilse arm warmers - £3 at Matalan

Hope you all have a good day and keep wrapped up warm.

    Hi,
Mariel - No idea where Mum got the thermals from, but they are really nice, if I got too hot I could easily take my jeans off and wear as leggings, they are black, purple and grey!
Loving the cosy sounding outfits, I've just get back from the supermarket which was heaving and Dylan has had a record breaking tantrum because he wanted to carry the eggs - not in the box, he wanted to hold one in each hand, Um, NO!
Fortunatley I managed to pacify him with a banana but I'd already attracted a number of disaproving glances!
I did get the golden syrup though so I'm going to make the cornish whatevers in a bit - will report back later! I picked up an icing bag and nozzles so am hoping to make some iced star shaped biscuits for the hampers - they need to be flat rolled out biscuits though - Daisy yours are too bumpy!
  • Hey

Hope you don't all mind me joining in! Been reading for a while and it inspired me to think about what I'm wearing, chuck out some old clothes and grab some new ones off eBay, charity shops and Primarni! Need to get a tunic made smaller but don't know how to get it done.

    Today am wearing
    Black vest, £1.50 Primark
Purple 'fake wrap' dress, Tesco sale £6
    Black boyfriend cardigan £10 Primark
Black 100 denier tights, £3? Asda

And when I go out later (gotta drive to OH's, an hour to Stoke On Trent):
Cream knee high socks (llama? angora? can't recall), $7 Otavalo market in Ecudador
    Knee high boots, £35 Evans
Black coat with bow pockets, £20 Primark

And thanks to Daisybella who inspired me to stop wasting the day and get off my bum and cook, I now have two plates of shortbread (some with icing and pink sparkly bits on) and a plate full of peppermint creams, some green some white, and some are half dipped in dark choc! OH says he doesn't want any as it's fattening.. didn't stop him eating over 25 Quality Street at work today... boooo!!!!

Ahah Vicki your post made me laugh. I'm glad you like (cookie dough is the best part for sure!)

Morning (just), been up for an hour already, work calls.

    Wearing:
Super sexy uniform, a true vision in polyester.
+ jade green glitter eyeliner and a gingerbread man brooch, trying to be festive ;)

    Later will change in to:
High waisted jeans, with tights under for warmth and keeping up properties (bit sad when your high waist jeans fall straight off, new years resolution, fit in to them again)
Long sleeve purple top with some print thing
    Grey boyfriend cardi
    (all new look)

    Heeled black ankle boots: Peacocks

and winter coat, gloves, scarf/snood and hat.

Had to run my daughter to work this morning and I'm COLD so I picked all the black things off my floor and layered them up. I don't usually have a floordrobe but I seem to have accumulated one this week. Cleaning and tidying for me today - I'll feel so much better once it's done then tonight I'm going out for drinks with a friend so I'll do a proper outfit post later!

Have a good Saturday all x
  • Tired today! Woke early to get my dad Peter Kay tickets for Xmas on presale... for Sept 2011!! Didn't help we had a late night as OH took 5 hours to get to his house thanks to a lorry fire on the motorway - I avoided it and got here in about 70 mins.

Today we are braving Hanley town centre... once I've had porridge and pulled OH away from the Xbox...

    Am wearing
Leopard print tshirt breast cancer fundraising tee, Dorothy Perkins
    Black Skinny Jeans River Island,
    Black boyfriend cardigan, Primark
    Long silver necklace, primark
3 pairs of socks including my Ecuadorian ones!

    Have a fun day all!
