Getting to be a bit of a habit...this me here first thing

This morning: acid yellow vest with pink trim, green jersey dress...black tights and some rally uncomfortable silver flats that fitted when I bought them but shrank on the way home. Have avoided wering them but my black flats died yesterday. 1940s ish makeup: dark stained lips, black eyeliner and mascara....no eye shadow etc.

I bet they'll fit sooner than that :D

I'm worn out today and just grabbed the cosiest things that came to hand. So today's outfit is:

    Black boots
    Jeans
    Anchorman tshirt
    Grey hoody

I don't think they will fit before then...I'm even wondering if its a bit optimistic, but I'm not one to, er...shrink from a challenge :rotfl:

Oh crumbs, I've just been told we're going bridesmaid dress shopping at the start of Jan. Hmmm. The wedding is at the end of May. I'm currently a size 18 - do I get a size 16 dress and get it taken in if I lose more, or just stick to my guns and get a size 14 (which I'm hoping to be by that point)? Either way I'm not going to enjoy the actual shopping :(

Alex- I'd get the 16 and have it taken in if need be,
    I have faith in you
but it's better to not have that kind of pressure on yourself :)

I'm with Daisy, Alex. Although I've no doubt you'll be your target size for the wedding don't put yourself under too much pressure, especially over the festive season.

Well, I could be really miserable today, both BF and I have with stinking colds, I've got the biggest zit in the world, a huge iron burn on my hand that's gone manky and I still don't know whether I'm going on holiday in 11 days time BUT the sun's shining, my Wii age is 10 years younger than my actual one and we're out with friends for the next three nights so gonna keep positive.

    Today's outfit:
Urban Outfitters silk puddy-cat bow dress (Car boot 50p)
    Denim bolero (Handmade)
    Black opaques
    Silver tribal jewellery (India)
    Huge silver filigree earrings (pressie)

    Have a great day, gang!

PS Hope no-one thought I was running New Look down yesterday. Their ethical policy is one of the best on the high street and my leggings are great. I've seen lots of pretty things from there in magazines but the huge superstore in our town appears to stock clothes only suitable for the local demographic - maternity clothes, tracksuit bottoms and neon teeshirts.

Goan- I hope you and bf feel better soon! I get what you mean about New Look, my local one more and more caters for the teenage chav population, rather than the clothes you see in the magazines etc, which is frustrating, but the staff are very good and will order things in from the bigger stores nearby :)

    Ok, dressed now.

    Long sleeve thermal: Peacocks
Raspberry pink long sleeve jumper dress: Peacocks
    Black leggings: New Look
    Black socks: who knows :p

Not sure yet what I'm doing with the day, the sun is out, so I reckon a walk is on the agenda.

    Well....alex...

Congrats! Choosing bridesmaids is not easy, so you must be well beloved by your friend!

I personally think it depends on the style of the dress and where its from and your shape. My leaning i towards getting something to take in...

I'm guessing your friend want to buy in the sales? If not and she's being organised perhaps she can push it back a little.

Ultimately bigger and taken in might be the most flattering anyay: a dressmaker can make it actually fit like no off the peg dress ever will. ;)

Personally I'd get the 14......but then I need pressure to perform :D

For me a stone is approx one dress size...........you've loads of time before May to continue your weight loss. Might even need the 14 taken in by then:T

But lir's final comment is very sensible (as usual!)
