Morning all!
I'm working again today, and today's outfit is:
- Red scoop neck and scoop back top (Dorothy Perkins)
- Black pinstripe straight leg trousers (Dorothy Perkins)
- Pewter ballet pumps with jewel detail on toes (New Look)
- Black military style flared jacket (New Look) to come into work
- Multicoloured stripey scarf, beanie hat and mittens (Accessorize) to come into work
- Brown leather handbag (21st birthday present from parents)
- Usual jewellery (birthday/Christmas/graduation presents from parents and boyfriend)
Hair is straightened then left as is, perfume is Body Shop Aqua Lily and no nail polish - I'm going to put either Nails Inc Victoria or Barry M Red Glitter polish on my nails tonight though.
In work until half five, then home to finish packing, watch The Restaurant and maybe muck about with my hair to decide how I'm going to wear it on Saturday night.

Morning all!
What a vile day you had, Judgejaq. You need a treat to cheer yourself up.
I had quite a productive evening last night emptying my wardrobe and rehanging everything on pretty padded hangers I've collected from recent jumble sales and church fairs - looks so much nicer. I've also refashioned a dress, taken in two pairs of jeans, darned a vintage jacket, repaired a torn dress and sewn new buttons on things. I've decided to ebay lots of stuff to make room for my new purchases so everything fits in the wardrobe again. I just need to sort my holiday bag now.
Today's uninteresting outfit:
Denim leggings (Market)
Grey American Apparel Teeshirt dress (Car Boot)
Office Tapestry boots (Chazza shop)
TopShop Skull and pansy print scarf (Present)
Black orchid earrings (Mum's cast-offs)
Usual tribal rings and bangles (India)
Electric blue crochet hat (Chazza shop)
Off to buy cat litter and as Au Nautrelle is next door to Pets At Home it'll be rude not to pop in and look.
Have a good thursday!0 -
You were busy last night, goanmad. I've got some jeans that could do with taking in but I don't know where to start; it looks too complicated with the double seams. How do you do it?
I love the velvet dress on your blog. I had to google wifebeater - never heard that before.0 -

Thanks for your lovely comments, daydreambeliever! That term "wife beater" just makes you visualise an unshaven redneck in a vest drinking beer on a porch, doesn't it?
The jeans taking in is trial and error. For my first attempt I bought a second-hand pair of jeans for less than £1 and practiced before I started on my own. The finished result isn't shop perfect but at least they aren't baggy and look fine on the outside!- Put the jeans on inside-out and pin all along the outer leg so that they fit well.
- Marked along the pins with chalk, remove the pins and machine up and down the line a couple of times.
- Re-try to make sure that they still fit.
- Cut away the excess fabric (leaving 1cm clear) and zig-zag stitch along the raw edge of the newly cut bit to prevent fraying.

Girls! I feel like it's been an age since I came in here and had a proper catch up. Things are ridiculously busy here at the moment, so much so I'm feeling overwhelmed about it. Christmas should be about winding down, spending time with your loved ones and enjoying yourself, not working all hours, tearing your hair out and developing an ulcer!
Anyway. Feeling calmer today and hopefully will get away from work at a decent hour. Same can't be said about OH... *sigh*
Today's outfit is:
Skinny jeans
Peachy long sleeved tee
Pinky draped jersey top
Beigey short sleeved cardigan (I look like a marshmallow)
Brown studded boots
Gold chunky necklace
Owl face ring
Bags under eyes.

I agree LiR, wish my real life was more busy, as it would take my mind of feeling so sad
Today's outfit is a vintage floral print dress, in muted tones of black, green and pink..Cream topshop cardi with black polka dots, and some irregular hcoice black heels with pink poodles on. Not very coordinated, but dont' really care this morning.0 -

IIRC you have complications with this anyway? It seems to me you do prtety well all considered. I think outfit sounds very nice.It is possible to be busier....but only if its not going to make one too strung out, as well as being busy it doesn't help to be TOO busy;)

Thank you LiR, at the moment I just feel a bit like everything is falling apart, so being busy makes me forget, although only for a little while..0
